Talk pages for Robot Chicken skit guides: Pokémon Bloopers Pikachu Secret
The goal of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is to be just as international as Pokémon itself, and helping aspiring Pokémon wikis in languages we don't yet have is a great way to help achieve that goal. However, if we don't even know who the possible aspirers for Encyclopaediae Pokémonis's ninth language even are, there's no way any growth can take place. If you speak or understand a language that's currently not represented in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis and happen to find a wiki in that language with aspirations to join Encyclopaediae Pokémonis, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. Remember, an aspirier can't grow if they remain sheltered from the world!
If you understand Brazilian Portuguese, or know someone who does, then the Portuguese arm of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is in desperate need of your assistance. Many, if not all, of that wiki's articles are in dire need of improvement, be it massive cleanup or even adding some real content to begin with. Their sysops are never around to handle things, and their interwiki bot has done nothing since late September--of 2008. The fact that a trusted member of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis has fallen into such disrepair is disturbing, to say the least. Brazilians do not deserve quality this low. If you can help improve the Portuguese end, then I highly recommend you do so. Today.
Dustox (Galactic's Conquest)
How on earth is a Psychic-type Dustox an error? Dustox is part-Poison, and unless you've been under a rock since 2006, you'll know that Poison-types are now represented as Psychic-types in the TCG due to the ridiculous abundance of Grass-types. Cipher 17:01, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- He's right. I play the TCG competitively, and there are about as many Psychic Poison types as Grass Poison types. --ニョロトノ666 20:53, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't understand...
I don't understand why the Bulbapedia admins consider anime gun-jumps as something wrong and evil which should be eradicated, while game gun-jumps and leaks are perfectly okay and acceptable. I don't see the difference between the two. You simply have some kind of an obsession, I believe. --Maxim 17:28, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's because anime stuff falls under an "until it airs" policy. It's possible that a detail could be revealed, highly popularized, and then later revealed to be wrong.
- Enforcment of "until it airs" was stepped up after an event largely referred to nowadays as the Cacnea debacle. It was started by Shiny Noctowl after what was a then-routine plot-spoiling of events from DP053 and DP054. Shiny Noctowl then proceeded to move the James's Cacnea article to "Gardenia's Cacnea", citing "James no longer has a Cacnea, we shouldn't have an article about something that doesn't exist" and giving bullsh*t points to try to defend that angle. Negativity ensued, and a poll was waged. The poll heavily favored a move back (the article was later moved back), but Shiny Noctowl was determined to tip the scales by any means necessary; first by adding bullsh*t weighting garbage, then by messing with the evidence, and even claiming that "consensus" meant that "everyone agrees" and since that not everyone agreed, it wasn't consensus.
- During that same timeframe, Ash's Chimchar suffered a minor incident also related to the plot-spoiling, when a vandal erased the page's content over and over, claiming the entire page was false. However, this incident was far more minor compared to the larger Cacnea debacle.
- The Cacnea debacle was so big that the plot-spoiling practice was ended once and for all after the debacle broke out. The "until it airs" policy was stepped up starting with DP055 and has remained stepped up since. --Shiningpikablu252 17:43, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

- A long long time ago, about the end of march, a new signature policy came out and all the templates we were using were no longer allowed. We had to go to every talk page (User talk, talk, Shipping talk, etc) we ever commented on since making the templates, and "subst" them. (For a small example, go here, many other pages were bigger than this. I did all 93 of mine, 540 of Tina's and I started TTE's. Shiningpikablu came in and did so many more users. Whenever he found a template, he did it. There was no stopping him! He did so much that TTE decided to give him the Golden Bulbasaur Award for hel;ping relieve server stress. - Oh....lolz...but wouldn't that risk overide of server? ht14 01:04, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- The fact that people were changing their signature templates created a greater amount of server stress than removing the templates themselves. Whenever someone changed it, the server had to go to every talk page the user ever put the template on, and change it itself. People were changing them too often and it got out of hand and the policy was created. MoldyOrange 01:07, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Pokéfarm Article?
You deleted my Pokéfarm article...if I do an article w/ more info can it stay on? Emp395 14:44, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- That depends. It's entirely possible that the site in question isn't notable enough for its own article no matter how detailed such an article is.
- If the site was only recently created (i.e. the site's only a week old or so), odds are it will be considered non-notable whether an article is one sentence or a hundred.
- Additionally, if an article appears to be basically nothing but advertising a fansite, odds are the article gets trashed. Bulbapedia is not an ad agency for fansites. --Shiningpikablu252 14:47, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Did you get a scanner? MoldyOrange 18:57, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- In a printer-scanner-copier combo device yesterday. Parts in my old printer had reached the end of its service life quite awhile back, hence the need to get a new printer. Given that a combo device had a reasonable price, why not get a combo device?
- Sure, my first kick at using the scanner functions may not have yielded perfect results, but you'll never know if you don't try, right? --Shiningpikablu252 19:03, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Stormfront cards
Here's a thought...for the first time in weeks, I have no homework or coursework or any other studies to do tonight. I also have tomorrow morning off. If I maybe used PokéBeach's IFDS translations to draft up card pages in NotePad, save the pages as .txt files and then modify those drafts as necessary (e.g. card numbers, attack text etc.) the next time cards get revealed, I could get pages up thick and fast tomorrow morning. What do you think? Cipher (Talk) 15:09, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds good.
- Funny you should mention Notepad, since that's the program I myself use to put in an article base and make modifications. Search-and-replace saves a lot of time when dealing with Pokémon names. --Shiningpikablu252 15:12, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I do that for stuff like...well, last I used it was for the DPt-P promo cards and the Gift Box cards, but when scans catch me off-guard like they just did I tend to just type as fast as I can in the wiki editor. Probably should be the other way around, but I guess once you've got a pattern you use, it's difficult to get out of it. Cipher (Talk) 15:17, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Oh, also, should I upload some Japanese card images for Stormfront so that all card articles have a card image, even if Japanese? I'll be purchasing some Stormfront boosters in a couple of weeks, and I'll be uploading those, but still, for the time being... Cipher (Talk) 16:02, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- That could work, but I'm not entirely sure on this one. I'd go to Moldy orange for a second opinion on this one. --Shiningpikablu252 16:09, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's not reluctance, it's just that I'm not really the expert when it comes to images. --Shiningpikablu252 01:20, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Last night I got very few articles done, only seven or eight, two or three of which I've been able to use today. So what I'm gonna do today is get as many done as possible and upload Japanese card images for the set, then I can hopefully get a lot put straight up tomorrow. Probably would have helped if I'd have had the idea a couple of weeks ago... Cipher (Talk) 11:52, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Don't give up. Even a late-rising plan could yield fruit sooner rather than later. --Shiningpikablu252 15:33, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- True as that may be, I've had pretty much no time to do card articles, and I'm about to go out, which means I won't be able to finish off the Stormfront cards. That said, Over the next three or so months, I will be doing Galactic's Conquest card article drafts, so that they're all as good as ready for DP8 in February 2009. Dusknoir LV.X and Machamp LV.X
I'm not entirely happy. You know that we use LV.X now, yet you still created the pages under Lv.X and used LV.X as a redirect. Why? What's the point? Because you know that I'll eventually notice and get it moved back anyway. If you want utter solid proof that the correct terminology really is LV.X, believe me, I can bring it by the bucketload. - Well, would you have rather had CoolPikachu! make the articles, knowing they would have been crappy to start out with? That probably would have been the case had I not stepped in, keeping in mind that he created the Gyarados article and saying "attacks will come later", then removing the entire Pokédex data field upon finding the Pokédex entry at the bottom of the card was missing. --Shiningpikablu252 17:04, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Color Code
What is the color code for yellow for the Poké-Powers? Mr. Mime and Mr. Mime's powers are purple on the page, but yellow in real life. MaverickNate 00:23, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- The Vending card should get the color code CC9900. The Jungle card has the color coding of the English print of the card on its page; it appears the yellows on Psychic-type Pokémon Powers were changed to blues when the cards were translated to English, with the odd exception of Wizards Promo 47 Mew, whose yellow became red instead for some odd reason. --Shiningpikablu252 00:44, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

So...
You think it's OK to direct userspace abusers to the fanon wikia? --((Marton imos)) 00:42, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, the person I had just dealt with was not a userspace abuser. That user had created a page about a fanon move in the main namespace.
- Anyway, if a user does get hit with the "abuse" tag and is known for writing a lot of fanon in their userspace, I'd go ahead and recommend the fanon wiki. However, check the userspace edits before recommending the fanon wiki; if the user doesn't primarily edit about fanon in their userspace, don't recommend the fanon wiki. --Shiningpikablu252 00:45, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- I apologize; "userspace abuser" was not the term I was looking for. I meant people who load up their subpages with fanon, or write it in the main space. I asked you because when I brought it up with TTE, he was somewhat non-committal in his answer, but if you're doing it, then maybe it's a good idea after all. --((Marton imos)) 00:48, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I admit that I may have been a little soon in my initial recommendation, but yes, I would recommend the fanon wiki for one who has a lot of fanon links or pages in their userspace, especially if writing about fanon is a user's primary purpose. --Shiningpikablu252 00:55, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

I have found some information, but I don't really know what to do with it. This card's Pokémon Power was changed to a Poké-Power when it was released through Pokémon Web. Could you possibly find a way to display both the Power and Poké-Power, without removing any information? Also, the powers are in yellow for this card, not purple. MaverickNate 15:50, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- This also occured for other cards as well. Dark Kadabra, Dark Slowbro, and Dragonite were changed to Poké-Powers, and Dugtrio was changed to a Poké-Body. MaverickNate 15:57, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Think. How did Charizard get handled for its Stormfront reprint? Try handling the cards in question a similar way.
- I've already mentioned the color code for yellow Pokémon Power text on this page, but just in case you've forgotten, the color code is CC9900. For the record, blue power text is 660099 and red power text is CC0000. --Shiningpikablu252 15:58, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Somewhat off topic, but there are A LOT of cards that need Jap names. Should we add the template as seen with the Shadow moves? ht14 16:02, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- I would say not unless current projects going on grind to a halt. At least two users are making active updates in those sectors. At the rate we're going, we're probably not going to need a template. --Shiningpikablu252 16:05, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- We would rather not add it, the categories are woirking perfectly as planned, and we have people taking the text off of the card images, off of the Japanese wiki, and off of the Japanese TCG website. This mini project is going as planned, and we are also fixing other problems, such as mis-translations, and also, Dragon Rage had the wrong kani on the page, and we were able to find and fix it. Also, I'd rather not make 3500 edits to pages just to add the template when we could be using that time to add the names anyway. MaverickNate 16:19, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, new issue with these. Pokémon Web cards do not have levels, are they still considered reprints? The lack of levels is the only thing different from these cards. MaverickNate 16:58, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, a card can still be considered a reprint if it lacks the level. Pikachu from the Base Set was legally usable while POP Series 2 was Modified-legal despite the POP 2 reprinted Pikachu not having the level, as every necessary element to get deemed a reprint (HP, attack costs, attack effects or similar rewords/tweaks, Weakness, Resistance, Retreat Cost) was present on the POP 2 version of the card. The reprinted Pokémon Web cards fall into this situation.
- Now, there are some situations where missing or altered elements results in two very similar cards be considered different from each other. The reason Dratini 52 from EX Team Rocket Returns is not considered a reprint of the Dratini from the Base Set is because the former has no Resistance, while the latter has a Resistance. The difference in Resistance makes the difference in making them different cards, similar to how attack costs kept Pikachu from POP Series 4 from being a reprint of the Jungle Pikachu. --Shiningpikablu252 17:10, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, that makes sense. While we are on the subject of the Web cards, though, there were two of those TCG GB only cards in Web, Tangela and Electrode, and I was thinking that we should move them to their Web nameset. I was also thiking about doing this with the many promotions, but I don't think that is necessary for anything other than the two GB. Is that a good idea to move them? MaverickNate 17:18, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

- Eh, no, I wouldn't move them. Such a move would probably suggest that those two cards were original cards in Web and had no origins from the Game Boy Color game. --Shiningpikablu252 17:21, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Userpage Policy vs Timezone
I know your only allowed 3 edits a day, but what timezone is that. Yesterday I made 3 edits, and id like to do another 3 today. But according to the BP clock, as my 3 edits yesterday were late and I am in an earlier time zone, it looks as though I amde the edits today, even though for me they were yesterday. So id like to know, is it based on an individual users timezone or on the Bulbapedia zone? --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010
- It is based on the Bulbapedia clock, in order to keep a universal, easy to follow rule. MaverickNate 17:22, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- The Bulbapedia clock runs on UTC time. That's the time zone that shows up in a standard signature's timestamp (one can get the time only by adding ~~~~~; for example, putting down that code at 19:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC) would show that date and time in UTC. --Shiningpikablu252 19:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
DP8
Do we really have to use it to link to "Bonds to the End of Time"? I really don't like that name, I wanna wait until the Japanese TCG site officially announces it as DPt2, at which point I'm going to see what else it translates as. I just really...really don't like that name. If it's the best translation, so be it. But I'm still gonna try. Cipher (Talk) 15:13, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- The Pokébeach webmaster admitted that the staff was squabbling over several other possible translations when that name was revealed, which probably means a better translation could be found. ****, said better translation could be one of the Pokébeach rejects! I'd say go for it. If "Bonds to the End of Time" was the end result of an argument by the staff of a reliable source, chances are that translation's going to get argued over elsewhere in the community. --Shiningpikablu252 16:07, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, with any luck the Japanese site will announce DPt2 soon, DPt1's been out for over a month...when it does get announced, I'll take a look at the name.
- On another matter, I know that Regigigas and Heatran haven't been revealed as DP30 and DP31 by anywhere like PokéBeach or the PokéGym, so just to prove it, Regigigas and Heatran. I know you're sceptical (I can tell by your edit summaries on Regigigas and Heatran) but I wouldn't make an edit like that until there was solid proof of the numbering. Cipher (Talk) 17:42, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, I fully believe the numbers. Did back when I made those edits. That wasn't what I said I'd probably later regret. --Shiningpikablu252 17:55, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Glossary?
Okay, so I've been looking through the wanted pages, and there are links to pages in (TCG) like Hit Points, Discard pile, Prize card, Weaknes, Resistance, Retreat Cost...how about a glossary page at Glossary (TCG) for the more basic terms in the TCG? A lot of TCG stubs could maybe be merged in there too. Cipher (Talk) 18:29, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- I believe such a page could work. However, I'd also get a second opinion from Maverick Nate before actually publishing such a page. --Shiningpikablu252 20:15, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Your userspace just happened to be in the designated cleanup zone; the non-tainted edits have since been restored. --Shiningpikablu252 02:07, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry. I don't really have this game. I just wanted to know all those names. Of course, I may get the game someday but not in close future and it'll probably take me a while to progress to those places. Sorry, I'm afraid I can't help here. Better ask someone who has the game. --Maxim 18:36, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Forging the history
Why are you deleting the offensive edit summaries? Because there are kids here and they can feel scared of all those scary words? Come on, forging the history is never good. Even if it's just stupid article editing history. The pedia never was will never be a perfect place and it seems like you're pretending that it is. Not to mention you're pointlessly flooding the Recent Changes. I think it's just BAD. --Maxim 18:23, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't the one who started this precedent of removing the offensive summaries, Jioruji Derako was. And I'm not the only one doing these kinds of purges, either.
- Besides, it's not like I'm doing them all at once. THAT would create a truly pointless recent changes flood, and besides, odds are server lag'll catch up to me sooner or later. I can at least keep traffic moving if I do them in smaller chunks...--Shiningpikablu252 18:28, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- But it's stupid! It forges the history and idealizes the Pedia. But in fact the Pedia is not perfect! I DO NOT agree with that administration's decision! --Maxim 18:59, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Generally, you only need to remove spam revisions (so that the websites that spammed links don't get any benefits back). But on rare occasion, there are some particularly nasty edits that really don't need to be there. Admins can still access them, so they're not totally deleted. But a lot of this stuff is pretty offensive, even by internet standards. >.< -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:04, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

- You need to look harder for offensive stuff, Geo. :D Oh, and Maxim, we do have other reasons besides the fact that it's "offensive." If all record of the content is unviewable except by admins, it discourages other vandals because they know that their crap won't even matter after its purged from the history. --ニョロトノ666 03:16, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, the last time was due to an error in judgment on my part; I forgot that if I deleted and restored the page, it wouldn't tell me if any of the revisions had been previously "purged". So I brought back a few older edits without realizing they weren't supposed to be there, apparently. (this is actually the second time I've had to deal with a move vandal like this, only the first time was on another wiki, and I had to un-move all one hundred or so pages myself. Not the best scene to wake up to.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:49, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

- As for the movie pages, I'm only protecting them from page moves. I'm doing this as per an episode precedent, and only for the movies with English names. --Shiningpikablu252 17:58, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Unown W (Neo Destiny 29)
Maverick told me to talk to you, so I just want to state that the Template:tt shouldn't be needed for the Pokemon Power as Unown [W] could be in battle, not necessarily on the bench. What do you think? ht14 01:43, 25 November 2008 (UTC)
- There's a few other Unown cards, both in the Neo series and the Diamond/Pearl series, that are like that. It can be assumed that the card the power is printed on references itself when its letter comes up (i.e. Unown [W] referencing Unown [W] in its power); if an Unown power specifically states that all of a certain combination must be Benched in order for the power to work, odds are the text referencing its own letter is indeed a self-reference. Self-references are not limited to Active Pokémon, never have been, never will be. In closing: It's a self-reference, the usage of TT is indeed correct. --Shiningpikablu252 04:37, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

- A "tainted revision" is one done by a vandal whom we're trying to clean up after. When doing the cleanup, both the actual "tainted revision" and its revert edit(s) are cleared from the history; this makes vandals a bit more difficult to trace. --Shiningpikablu252 20:23, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Piplup
Why can't we just add Piplup to the roster? It's been in every episode since DP060. Also it has an ending dedicated to it. You say that DP087 proves your point. However, it did appear in the beginning. Just that it went back in its PokéBall for the rest of the episode. I say we should mark it as confirmed in every episode until it is absent one more time. Then I will drop this whole thing. But since it appeared in every episode this year, I say give it a chance. --ケンジのガール 22:39, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I'm with Missingno. Master on this one. There's no proof that Piplup's going to be appearing in any episode with just a title. None at all. Trends mean nothing in Piplup's case; it's got a Poké Ball and has never shown that it doesn't like being inside it, so it could just as easily spend an entire episode in its Poké Ball as it could out of it. If we were to liken Piplup to any other common-appearance Pokémon, it would be to Jessie's Wobbuffet, not Misty's Togepi.
- Besides, listing Piplup in the roster by default is bound to cause problems. The general consensus about Piplup's default roster status is that it should not be listed by default; there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. --Shiningpikablu252 22:45, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- There's no evidence that the other characters will be there. So why are they okay? Crecelia vs Darkrai doesn't indicate that Team Rocket will be in it. What if all of a sudden they decide to make Team Rocket not appear for one episode? I don't categorize Piplup the same as Wobbuffet. For one, Wobbuffet will show up for like 5 episodes and then be absent in the sixth. Piplup has gone for 44 episodes straight. It disserves a chance. Especially given the ending. I doubt there going to make it absent after that. If it's gone again, we can remove it. --ケンジのガール 03:44, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with Kenji-girl. Piplup deserves a chance. Chocolate((Talk to Me|Look at My Contributions)) 03:46, 28 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but we're going to need super-hard evidence to put Piplup on the default roster--and even then Wobbuffet'll show up along with it. By super-hard evidence, I'm talking blatant refusal to go into its Poké Ball in a normal mood, or the Poké Ball being broken and Dawn refuses to have it fixed. Odds are far greater that Piplup evolves in DP104 and rots in its Poké Ball for all of DP105 than either of those things happening. If consensus says Piplup doesn't deserve a space on the default, then Piplup doesn't go on the default. Too much more of these disagreements about Piplup's status and I'll have to have a higher authority step in. The humans are listed as default since they can't go into Poké Balls. Pikachu's listed as default since it blatantly refuses to go into one even on the best of days. Meowth's listed as default since we don't even know if it's ever been in a Poké Ball. Had Bulbapedia and its current standards existed during the earlier run, Togepi would have been listed as default since it never went into a Poké Ball. Piplup's not like that--there's ALWAYS the possibility it won't appear, and it should NEVER be assumed that it will when there's a chance it won't. --Shiningpikablu252 04:33, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Japanese episode titles
Hi, I was wondering if perhaps the Japanese titles of the episodes could be redirected to their title numbers (i.e. DP001 for 旅立ち!フタバタウンからマサゴタウンへ!!). If it is already done, or any other things need redirecting in high quantity, just tell me. Bulbapedian - Talk 18:19, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Rex, what do you mean by "messing with kanji", and could you elaborate on the Pokémon redirects "being a different story"? Bulbapedian - Talk 16:01, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Messing with Kanji. The episode titles have kanji in them. Kanji can be written out in hiragana(or in some cases katakana). If you are going to do a mass redirect, you should make two redirects, one of the title and one of the spelled out kanji. This is all assuming that you can read the kanji. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it seems really, really, stupid. And the Pokémon redirects. Those were also a stupid idea, but Pokémon are the base of the franchise. Pokémon exist in every form of Pokémon media. The anime is a section of the franchise, not the franchise. If you remember, I was also opposed to the three day long project that was the Pokémon redirects. Again, editing for the sake of editing. --RexRacer -talk 16:09, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. Kanji are the italicized words in the parentheses showing the translations of the titles back from Japanese, or along those lines. Yes, I agree with you about the Pokémon redirects being solely for edit boosting, and being useless since the Japanese titles would have to be copied and pasted into the search box in order to be used anyway. But my point was for this that if that was done, then the episode titles dort of have to be. If you do one, the other one does too, regardless of its importance. I only wish they hadn't started it in the first place. Bulbapedian - Talk 16:17, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- No... Kanji are a form of calligraphy, similer to hiragana and katakana. For example, 田 means "ta" in kanji. It means "rice paddy field", but is often included in names, such as "Tanaka". 中 means "chū" in kanji. It can mean many things, most often it means "middle". 国 means "goku", used to talk about countries. Now, if you want to get complex, 田 "ta" and 中 "chū", when used next to each other, make 田中, the kanji spelling of the name "Tanaka". When 中 is used in a different context, it makes "naka". Finally, 中国 means China. Chūgoku is also a region in Japan, literally "middle country". As you can see, even three of the simplest kanji are extremely complex things to deal with. I really, really don't think that you know what you are getting into...--RexRacer -talk 16:37, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Regarding what you said here
Actually, the official spelling is forme. Go to the official website, look up Deoxys on the site's Pokédex, and see how it is spelled. Chocolate((Talk to Me|Look at My Contributions)) 19:27, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- The Pokédex has a few errors. This whole "forme" thing is one of them; Nosepass's evolution section is another. There is no "E" in "form", at least in modern English (which is what is used by the English versions of the games). --Shiningpikablu252 19:49, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Unless you're planning on wagering more than 2¢, you're going to lose big. This whole "forme" bull**** will have blown over by then with absolutely no damage done, and we can finally get on with our lives. Trust me, the latest Vegas line on this whole "forme" bull**** was roughly about a googolplex to 1--simply put, it's not going to happen, Vegas can't even pay out those odds even if one were to wager just two cents! --Shiningpikablu252 04:34, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Did that guy do to my talk page? (Just curious)--The Kkllnnator カメックス 20:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- In the case of your user talk page, the vandal removed all punctuation and lowercased all capital letters; additionally, the "é" in Pokémon was de-accented. The primary MO of GoldenPikablu and his sockpuppets is to mess up pages in that and similar fashions; other similar fashions include replacing certain letters with others, certain letters with an inclusion of Template:Delete, reversing an article letter-for-letter, switching the caps and lowercase in articles, putting spaces between each character, and more. --Shiningpikablu252 22:25, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- If I may say so myself, (AS in, if I may jump in randomly) the delete template every 3 letters was a pain to load to try and revert. The Dark Fiddler - Smarter than the average bear! 22:27, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds like a variation on an ampersand bot. They're bot vandals, just programmed to test what they can edit on a wiki... they generally can't handle ampersands and other special characters, so they mess up page coding when they edit. (The namesake ampersand bots would edit until they hit an ampersand "&", then clear the remainder of the page.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 13:57, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Apologies
I apologize for my poor lack of judgement, I will edit it right away. I guess I'm too used to the Homestar Runner Wiki, there's no laws on signatures there. I will not sign with a link.

Friend areas
Why do the friend areas need to have (friend area) at the end of them? ♥Chocolate (Merry Christmas!) 22:13, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- Probably it's the same idea that we use with Pokémon: one name can be shared, so let them all have a certain ending (for example the friend area "Jungle" compared to "Pikachu": both can mean various things). UltimateSephiroth (about me · chat · edits) 22:18, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- But it's an unnecessary dab. It just forces you to type more than if there was no dab. ♥Chocolate (Merry Christmas!) 22:20, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
- But typing
{{Fa|Rub-a-Dub River}}
is more than typing[[Rub-a-Dub River]]
. And we can always fix redirects. ♥Chocolate (Merry Christmas!) 22:28, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

My subpage
Hey, thanks for fixing it. I was just curious though, how did having the wrong name for the sprites there screw things up?--MisterE13 00:33, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- The sprite table on Arceus's page calls for back sprites in "Spr b g4" style. Before I made my edit, back sprites on your page were called in "Spr b 4d" style. This caused the backsprites to be uploaded at the wrong names and thus not show up on Arceus's page when called for.
- Everything's working fine now, so there's no further need to worry. --Shiningpikablu252 03:35, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
help...
I accidentally templated my talk page as "archived" because I wanted to archive my talk. Now I can't edit it and make my new archive... I need serious help. - Juan Sanfiel ( Merry Christmas ) 12-14-08 11:29 pm UTC

User:Shiningpikablu252/Link Templates
Regarding this, is there any way you could make it so that it can give examples for templates like {{OP}}
, {{Ashfr}}
, {{Delia}}
, {{template}}
, etc...?--The Kkllnnator サンタクロース 21:13, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- TTEchidna's the master template hacker. Try pestering him. --Shiningpikablu252 00:21, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well,
{{OP}}
and{{template}}
are the same as others, OP just has two parameters rather than one, and template has one like the example to be given... Remember, the list of link templates are linked, aren't they? TTEchidna 21:06, 16 December 2008 (UTC)- Yes, the list of link templates has been linked as long as the template's existed. This template was even altered when the list was moved from its previous location...--Shiningpikablu252 21:10, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well,
Well
It was nothing much. Just the Korean name (the page lacked it). But I'm indeed annoyed of the recent increasing number of protected pages. This confirms the theory that more admins = less space to edit. --Maxim 13:57, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
Of course, this Forme stuff is bull****
"Pokémon Platinum features a new story full of adventure, never-before-seen forms of powerful Pokémon – including the legendary Giratina's Origin Forme – and the Distortion World, a mysterious new world that suddenly appears in the Sinnoh region."
From the official press release by Nintendo America. Funny, that, isn't it? Now, I believe I made a wager... Cipher (Talk) 20:19, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Odds are it's an error. "Forme" will not be used in-game, it won't appear in the DVD subtitles for the 11th movie, and no further pre-release materials will use that spelling. Nobody in their right mind would think there's an E in form (at least as far as modern English, which is used exclusively in the games, is concerned), and the game programmers know this. --Shiningpikablu252 21:33, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, get over it. An official source at Nintendo has used Forme. It is NOT an error. Why won't you just accept that this time, you're wrong? Cipher (Talk) 21:47, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, I take that back. Keep telling us all that Forme is, indeed, wrong. I can't wait to hear you silenced when Platinum DOES use Forme. Cipher (Talk) 21:48, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- You're the one who's going to be silenced. The games have NEVER used the incorrect "forme" spelling for anything. The games never will use that spelling. It's always been and always will be "form". Who in their right mind would intentionally misspell something and expect people to believe them?! Nobody buys this "forme" bullsh*t. Nobody ever will. --Shiningpikablu252 21:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- I buy it. It's been used since 2005 when Emerald came out. Plenty of people would argue that they do believe that Forme is the correct, intentional spelling. Just because it's not the standard English spelling doesn't make it wrong: if Nintendo wants to use Forme, they'll bloody well use Forme.
- And believe me, I have been on Nintendo's press site for three years. I have seen countless press statements come and go. And I have reported on them all. There has never, EVER been an error or mistake in any of them, and there isn't in this one either. Cipher (Talk) 21:55, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
DP112
Well... it is [here] Nick., something to say? 18:56, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- The main reason I was initially distrustful was due to the fact that the person who was inserting it was initially listing filb.de as the primary source. Given the recent blog barrage, you can't really blame me for being distrustful...--Shiningpikablu252 19:12, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Speed gamers
I am watching the Speed Gamers. They mentioned Bulbagarden on their list of people to thank. How did we get on it? Bulbapedian - Talk 02:04, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- Probably because it was reported on Bulbanews. Granted, there was some inquiring as to how certain Pokémon would be attainable...--Shiningpikablu252 02:19, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
Blockin' Galore
No need to block the pages TWO WEEKS before airing. Not to mention that Kensuke's name is no gonna be revealed until DP090. --Maxim 16:44, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks alot for fixing up the coding on my talk page, I was getting confused about why it wasn't working. But anyway thanks.--MysteryHeff? TALK 07:36, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
