Togetic (Japanese: トゲチック Togechick) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from Togepi via happiness, and evolves into Togekiss via Template:Stone.
Biology
Physiology
Togetic are dainty Pokémon that are small in stature. The eggshell they had as a Togepi is now gone, but they still bare a red and blue trianglur ring pattern on their bodies. They also now have a relatively long neck and long legs and a pair of wings on their backs, giving them a vague appearence of an angel.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
They can sense the kindness in other people and Pokémon's hearts. This ability is similar to Blissey's. They also have the ability to float on the air without moving their wings much and spread happiness with their presence. Togetic also bring good fortune.
Behavior
Whenever they spot a pure-hearted person, they tend to go to that person and shower them with happiness and glowing down called "joy dust".

Pokémon Special
Prior to the events of Template:PSV, Jasmine left two Togetic in the Pokémon Daycare Centre near Goldenrod City. The egg that was born from them was passed on to Professor Elm for research, who then passed it on to Gold. The egg eventually hatched into a Togepi.

Trivia
- Togetic's normal colors in Generation II show Togetic with red and black rings, while the Template:Shiny2 form has blue rings in place of red rings. The colors of Togetic's rings later changed to red and blue for both forms to reflect its official artwork. (A shiny Togetic from Generation III onward would have its flesh be given a yellow tint.)
- Though it is a Generation II Pokémon, Togetic did not make its anime debut until the Generation III saga.
- Togetic is the last Generation II Pokémon to make a debut in the anime, since Porygon2 has yet to make an appearance.
- Togetic, along with Template:P2, are the only Template:Type2s that learn Metronome.
- Togetic appeared gold in its original Generation II games. This was changed to white in Pokémon Crystal and subsequent games.
- Togetic shares the same species name with Blissey. They are both known as Happiness Pokémon.
- Although Togetic has stronger defenses than offensive capabilities, its evolution's Special Attack surpasses both its defensive stats.
Origin
Togetic's design appears to draw inspiration from a fairy, a chicken, and an egg. It might also be supposed to resemble a baby bird, seeing as Template:P2 is an egg and its evolution is a full-grown bird.
Name origin
The toge in Togetic's name is 刺, spike, and the tic is from an alternate transliteration of the corresponding part in its Japanese name, chick, as in chicken.
