Rampardos (Japanese: ラムパルド Rampard) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.
It evolves from Cranidos starting at level 30.
Biology
Physiology
Rampardos is a large, dark-gray dinosaur-like Pokémon which, like its predecessor Cranidos, is based upon a Pachycephalosaurus. Rampardos has a blue stripe on its tail and one blue stripe on each of its knees and wrists. Rampardos also has a spike on each knee. Rampardos has a blue collar on its neck with two spikes on it. Two of Rampardos's head spikes are bigger than the other two. Rampardos's red eyes are obstructed by its dome-shaped head. Two short spikes are on this Pokémon's nose.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Like its pre-evolution, Rampardos's strength lies within its fierce head-butting attacks. A charging Rampardos can knock down virtually anything with one hit.
Behavior
Rampardos enjoy barging into objects with their heads to train their strength and reflexes.
Habitat
Rampardos once lived in jungles, but has been extinct from the wild for 100 million years and only exists via being cloned from fossil samples.
Fossils from which Cranidos can be resurrected are only found in the Sinnoh region.

Trivia
- Rampardos has the fourth highest maximum Attack stat in the game, surpassed only by Marowak holding Thick Club, Deoxys in Attack Forme, and Medicham (thanks to Pure Power, its ability).
- Going solely by base stats, Rampardos has the second highest base Attack of all Pokémon (second only to Attack Forme Deoxys), and the highest base Attack of all non-Legendary Pokémon.
- It is the only pure Template:Type2 Pokémon able to learn Surf.
- Although Rampardos attacks primarily with its head, it could not learn Iron Head until Pokémon Platinum, and cannot learn Skull Bash.
- Rampardos and its pre-evolution Cranidos are the only Fossil Pokémon that are not dual-typed.
Origin
Rampardos is based off on the group of dinosaurs including Pachycephalosaurus although the head ornamentation resembles that of Stygimoloch or the Dracorex because of its height.
Name origin
Rampardos's name is a pun, combining the words "ram" (to slam into), "hard", and "rampart" (a type of fortress). Rampardos comes from the same etymology as the Japanese name, however, it adds on "dos", a common ending for dinosaur names.
