The Ground egg group (Japanese: りくじょう Land) is one of the sixteen egg groups. It is the largest of the egg groups, with 131 Pokémon.
Characteristics
Pokémon in the Ground egg group tend to be terrestrial creatures. Most are based on mammals, though there are several exceptions to this rule, such as Ekans, a reptile, and Torchic, a bird.
The inclusion of Wailord, an extremely large Pokémon, in this group is the basis for the HSOWA joke in the fandom. The inclusion of Smeargle, a Pokémon capable of learning almost every move in the game, makes chain breeding relatively easy in this group.

Trivia
- All the Pokémon that Dawn has owned belong to this egg group.
- All Pokémon with the ability Pickup are in this egg group with the exception of Munchlax, who cannot breed and does not evolve into a Ground group Pokémon.
- Zangoose and Seviper are both in this egg group and therefore are able to breed, despite being mortal enemies.
