About me

Hi! My name is Kevin, but you can call me Kalot or Kalot3000, since these are usually my usernames. I'm from México, and while I think I have a good enough english level, I prefer to not write much to avoid any big mistake. Mainly I'm fixing little things, or adding pieces of trivia. If I can get a needed picture, I try to upload it quickly. Sometimes I make ortographic errors (specially regarding verbs and times; see instanted of saw, think instanted of tought... thinks like that.) I would really appreciate if you help me with this; if you see this kind of mistakes anywhere, even in my userpage, please feel free to edit.

Lenguage compatibility aside, I'm just a fifteen year old who likes Pokémon. I also love reading everything, from Harry Potter to One Hundred Years of Solitude.

I'm not very optimistic, but I can be cheerfull when there's reasons to be. Acordding to the magical interviewer in Mystery Dungeon, I have a hasty personality. But hasty means Skitty, so I restart the game anyway.

Pokémon

The first episode of the anime that I watched was ¡El jardín secreto de Bulbasaur! (Coincidentally, the one after wich Bulbagarden was named). I liked it, but I didn't know that it was based in a game. When people started with all the "Pokémon is satanic" thing, my mom told me to stop watching it, but thankfully, that prohibiton didn't last much.

Some year later, my friends started playing Ruby and Sapphire. The games looked fun, so I asked my parents if they could buy me one. My first game was Ruby, which I started with Torchic, but shortly after that, I bought Emerald, and I still think in that one as the best game from Generation III. I also bought LeafGreen, and a friend gave me his FireRed, but I'm not a big Kanto fan. Oh, and also I have a copy of Crystal.

I´m also a player of the side series. I liked the first Mystery Dungeon a lot, since it was the first Pokémon game I played with a decent story. I really wanted to know the story behind Gardevoir, and Ninetales is one of my favorite Pokémon. Pokémon Ranger was great, too. I really enjoyed the mythology, with the five dragons and Entei. Suicune and Raikou werw a little random, tough. The second Dungeon is the Pokémon game with the best story so far, I think. I guess it was very clear, with the Time Gears and all that, but it was a surprise to me the fact that I'd come from the future. And Darkrai is the coolest villain ever. Well, altough my favorite human villain is Blake Hall, from Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. He even controls Darkrai and all that.

As for Generation IV, I liked Diamond a lot. Sinnoh is a cool place, and overall it was a good game. From the main series, Platinum is my favorite so far.

Bulbapedia

Bulbapedia and Serebii.net are my favorite Pokémon sites. I fell in love with Bulbapedia from the start; After all, is a Pokémon encyclopedia!

It took me a while to register, but since that day, I do little edits here and there.
