Flavor text Generation VII Turns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. Generation VIII Turns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle. Generation IX Turns the ground into Electric Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle.

Electric Surge (Japanese: エレキメイカー Electric Maker) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature Ability of Tapu Koko. In Generation IX, it is the signature Ability of Pincurchin.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Electric Surge enters the battle, it creates the effect of the move Electric Terrain on the battlefield.

Outside of battle

Electric Surge has no effect outside of battle.
