In Japan, this card was available as a Jumbo Unnumbered Promotional card on an insert in the August 2000 issue of CoroCoro Comic, released on July 15, 2000.
Trivia
- The text on the top right of the card border reads: "Theater version: Pocket Monsters 2000 "Lord of the Unknown Tower" special jumbo card." As a Jumbo card, it cannot be used at official tournaments.
- The text on the bottom of the card border reads: "Monthly CoroCoro Comic August issue supplement." The CoroCoro and Pikachu the Movie 2000 logos and are also featured. The CoroCoro dragon mascot is present in place of an expansion symbol.
Origin
This card is based on the illusionary Entei from Spell of the Unown: Entei. Fire Spin is a move in the Pokémon games that Entei can learn. This card's Pokédex entry is from Pokémon Silver. Ash's Charizard's head can be seen in the art, battling Entei as per the film's story.
