Dominic (Chinese: 大明 Da Ming) is a main character in The Journey of One Dream. He is the father of Vin and has a large collection of Pokémon video games.
History
In the past, Dominic was a child who grew up playing Pokémon games, eventually coming to own copies of Pokémon Red, Silver, Sapphire, Diamond, White, Y, and Ultra Moon. Over the years, he became an adult who lived only for work, without being able to pay attention to his family.
One day, his son Vin mysteriously managed to enter the world of games and interacted with several versions of himself that were present in the games. This version of Dominic, who calls himself Lord Dominic (Chinese: 鼎鼎大明 Dominic the Great), became friends with Vin, which made him enter more and more games. During a break in his work, Dominic discovers that his son was inside his Pokémon Ultra Moon cartridge, and he immediately went after him to save him.
After saving his son, the two accidentally went on an Ultra Warp Ride and landed in Ultra Space Wilds, where they encountered a Mewtwo. During the battle, Dominic was forced to use all of his Pokémon in hand and was still defeated, causing him to use Mega Evolution on his Charizard. In order to have a chance of victory, Vin reminded him to use his secret technique involving the move Smokescreen. With the help of his son and Pikachu, Vin and Dominic managed to escape and return to the real world.
After celebrating their battle, Dominic returned to his work, but Vin notices that something has changed about him. In the epilogue, inside two Nintendo Switch consoles with Pokémon Sword and Shield, Dominic and Vin are participating side by side, as Lord Dominic and Vin the Invincible, in a Pokémon battle against two Trainers.

Pikachu was one of Dominic's main Pokémon during Generation VII, during the battle against Mewtwo, Pikachu managed to bravely battle the Genetic Pokémon, but was defeated along with the others. Dominic used Pikachu as a last resort to protect his son, and they were saved by Vin who was using Charizard, finally they chose to flee so they could try to beat Mewtwo at another opportunity.
Pikachu's known moves are Thunderbolt, and Thunder.

Charizard was used in the battle against Mewtwo and is able to Mega Evolve. Initially, it was defeated along with Dominic's other Pokémon, but its Trainer decided to try again this time by Mega Evolving Charizard. After a hard battle, Dominic decided to change his strategy and loaned Charizard to his son.
Using Flamethrower, Vin managed to distract Mewtwo long enough for them to use an Ultra Ball and safely escape to the real world.
Charizard's known moves are Smokescreen and Flamethrower.
