Hayden

Hayden (Japanese: ハシバ Hashiba) is a Pokémon Trainer from Fuchsia City.

In the anime

In the anime, Hayden is a character of the day who appeared in Caring for a Mystery!.

Hayden met Ash and Goh while they were searching for a Pokémon Egg. Hayden challenged Ash to a Normal Class World Coronation Series battle, which Ash accepted. Hayden sent out his Tauros to battle Pikachu but was defeated, causing his rank to go down.

Tauros is Hayden's only known Pokémon. He was used to battle Ash's Pikachu. Despite inflicting some damage on Pikachu, Tauros was defeated by Pikachu's Thunderbolt.

Tauros's known moves are Horn Attack and Iron Head.

Hayden appeared in Caring for a Mystery!. In the manga, Hayden is just an regular Trainer that Ash battled in a normal battle unrelated to the World Coronation Series.

  • Hayden wears items that refer to his Pokémon; a headband with a drawing of Tauros's horns and a vest with cords resembling the tails of a Tauros.
  • Hayden's Japanese voice actor, Yasuhiro Mamiya, was born in Chiba Prefecture. Tateyama, the real-life counterpart of Fuchsia City, is also located in Chiba.
