Crispin (DP158)
- This article is about the Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl character. For other uses, see Crispin (disambiguation).
Crispin (Japanese: カツゾー Katsuzō) is a character of the day who appeared in Regaining the Home Advantage!. He is a Pokémon Ranger who patrols a mountain area between Brussel Town and Daybreak Town.
Crispin helped Ash and his friends solve the mystery behind Metagross and Magnezone's constant battles, which were destroying a nearby town. He directed their attention to a flooded crater and revealed that the Pokémon regularly did battle in order to get rid of the excess power that built up inside of them, which were results from living on the magnetically charged mountain. With this in mind, the group worked to drain the crater, allowing Magnezone and Metagross to continue battling in the mountains.

Magnezone lived on a mountain between Brussel Town and Daybreak Town and as a result of living on the mountain gained a lot of power that it could only release by battling. When its battle arena crater flooded, it started battling in a nearby town which often caused collateral damage which was only stopped when Ash and friends managed to drain the water. Magnezone proved to be very powerful in battle, helping to defeat Ash's Monferno and Dawn's Mamoswine despite having a type-disadvantage to both.
Magnezone's known moves are Sonic Boom, Signal Beam, and Supersonic.
Metagross lives on the same mountain as Magnezone and, as it was also a Steel-type, also gained a lot of power from the mountain's magnetic fields that it could only release by battling. When the crater used for battling was flooded, it started battling Magnezone in a nearby town and was only stopped from destroying the town when the water in the crater was removed.
Metagross's known moves are Metal Claw, Take Down, Bullet Punch, and Shadow Ball.
