Marabelle (Japanese: マリベル Maribelle) is a character in Pokémon Duel. She works at Carmonte Island's figure shop, where she takes on a managerial role.

Personality

Marabelle speaks in a very direct, and matter-of-fact way, to a point where she can defuse arguments very quickly. She is also skilled at negotiating, even with her superiors.

Despite her apparent coldness, she does show concern for the well-being of her co-workers, stepping in to help when Tia is confronted by difficult customers.

Plot

Marabelle first appears while the player is dueling through Atlantis - an angry customer comes to the shop, demanding that Tia give a refund for a figure that seems to only spin misses. Tia is flustered and unsure what to say, so Marabelle steps in to tell the customer that the figure must be inspected before a refund can occur. The man relents, and Marabelle takes the figure to the steering committee to investigate. The technicians find evidence that the chips may have been modified - to avoid an uproar, Marabelle asks them to keep the information under wraps. She then checks the maintenance log, finding it filled with recent maintenance requests from the Roger family.

While the player ascends Olivia Palace, Tia mysteriously stops showing up to work at the shop, without notice. In desperation, Marabelle's superior asks her to take over Tia's shift in the meantime. Marabelle initially objects, as she knows that she is not as warm and welcoming as Tia - but her boss offers to pay her triple wage, which she then negotiates up into five-times wage. Unbeknownst to Marabelle, Tia has been kidnapped by the Rogers in an attempt to coerce Luca.

Some time later, Luca's AI device Another negotiates to release Tia, and the Rogers accept. Tia returns to the shop, much to Marabelle's relief. She suggests that Tia take the rest of the day off, so that she can finish her well-paid shift. As Tia leaves, she notices that Marabelle's heels are scuffed and tattered, suggesting that she was extensively searching for Tia in her absence.
