Volume 12 is the twelfth volume of the Pokémon Adventures manga and the fifth of eight volumes in the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc. It is authored by Hidenori Kusaka and illustrated by Satoshi Yamamoto.

  • Whitney, DJ Mary, and the Radio Director visit Pryce's Gym, where they battle a Suicune statue and soon leave upon realizing that it was made of mobile ice. In the aftermath, Pryce puts on an evil smirk and mutters that Suicune won't come to visit him for a good reason.
  • Crystal meets up with Gold and Silver in the Whirl Islands, who were earlier joined by Lt. Surge.
  • The three Johto Pokédex holders almost succeed in capturing the Lugia that attacked them.
    • They try to track the Pokémon down, but all three of their Pokédexes fail in doing so, indicating that someone managed to catch it first.
  • Suicune joins Misty's team in the Tohjo Falls.
  • The opening ceremonies of the 10th Pokémon League commences, with all 16 Gym Leaders participating in a tournament. Gold and Crystal are called upon to attend this event secretly.
