The Pokérap was a song used as the ending theme for the second Hindi dub of the original series. It uses footage made up of clips from the first few episodes of the first season and the first English opening theme, Pokémon Theme (which itself uses clips from the first Japanese opening theme, Aim to Be a Pokémon Master). It replaced the shortened version of the Hindi dub of the Pokémon Theme, Pana Har Ek Ko (Hindi: पाना हर एक को Getting Each One), as the ending theme for the latter half of the first season on Hungama TV. The Hindi version of the song was also used on Tamil and Telugu audio feeds on the same network. It was also sometimes inconsistently used as the ending theme for the second and third seasons, and as the ending theme for initial television airings of the first two movies. It was brought back for some episodes of the seventeenth season.

The Hindi song bears no resemblance to the PokéRap songs used for the English dub of the animated series.

Synopsis

Ash puts on his gloves and cap. He turns his hat backward, and showing a Poké Ball, throws it. The scene changes, and many Spearow are attacking Pikachu, while Ash stands in front to protect Pikachu. In the next scene, Ash is determined. Pikachu then says its name.

Ash is then dragging Pikachu behind him, wearing rubber gloves. Pikachu refuses to listen to him. Ash checks his PokéDex and then shrinks a Poké Ball to switch it out for another on his belt. Next, Ash climbs on a rock on top of a forest cliffside overlooking a city. He looks at an Oddish nearby. Pikachu is being chased by a lot of Spearow. Ash proclaims that he will have the entire world in his hands. In the next scene, after Pikachu uses Thunder Shock, Ash says it is very shocking.

Bulbasaur blows air at something, while a Rapidash leaps into the air. Various Pokémon are eating Pokémon food. In a cave, some Paras remove the mushrooms from their backs. Some Mankey hang from tree branches. Bulbasaur jumps into a bush, while Charizard uses Flamethrower. Multiple Pokémon are then shown saying their names or cries: Koffing, Rattata, Pidgey, and Ekans.

A Clefairy moves its hands for Metronome, while a Giant Tentacruel destroys a building with one of its tentacles. An Ekans burrows underground. Multiple Pikachu are jump over a glass door. Ash then shows the victory sign. In the next scene, Ash prepares to catch a Caterpie, throws the Poké Ball, and Caterpie is shown going inside the Poké Ball. A Butterfree lands an attack on Staryu, while another Pokémon is seen coming out of its Poké Ball. Ash's rival Gary is shown holding a Poké Ball. Ash and Brock are shown throwing Poké Balls against Pokémon Tech students, to send out Butterfree and Zubat. Ash and Brock high five as Pikachu looks on.

Giselle and other Pokémon Tech students throw Poké Balls towards Team Rocket, who are shown getting hit with lots of balls. Ash, with his hat turned backward, throws a Poké Ball, while Pikachu jumps into the air and uses Thunder Shock against a flock of Spearow. A flashback of Pikachu being sent out from its Poké Ball for the first time in Professor Oak's Laboratory is shown, and the Pokémon logo appears on screen in front of a spinning Poké Ball.
