The Super Legend Set: Xerneas-EX & Yveltal-EX (Japanese: スーパーレジェンドセット60 ゼルネアスEX・イベルタルEX) is a Japanese-exclusive Standard Deck of the Pokémon Trading Card Game released on November 14, 2014.
Information
The Super Legend Set: Xerneas-EX & Yveltal-EX is a Standard Deck created to bridge the gap between September 2014's Phantom Gate expansion and December 2014's Gaia Volcano • Tidal Storm expansion. As the name suggests, it focuses on the two mascots for Pokémon X and Y, reprinting the two Pokémon-EX from Collection X and Collection Y as both Full Art cards and regular cards with the new artwork originally only released outside of Japan in the Legends of Kalos Tins. The majority of the deck is made up of reprints from previous releases: only 3 of the 23 cards are brand new, with just the additional two Pokémon-EX featuring new artwork. The deck features the Fairy-type and the Darkness-type. Included in the product are damage counters, premium status counters, exclusive Xerneas and Yveltal coins, playmat, deck case, sleeves, and a special poster along with a Player's Guide, all featuring artwork by TOKIYA.
In Korea, the set was made available starting November 15, 2014 as the Legend Battle Deck (Korean: XY 레전드 배틀 프리미엄 버전), containing the same cards, but replacing the additional items with a different series of merchandise. Utilizing the 5ban Graphics artwork originally used as the design for the English Legends of Kalos Tins, the Korean release includes a 3-Ring Binder, 5 copies of each basic Energy card, Player's Guide, and two packs each from the Korean Collection X, Collection Y, Wild Blaze, and Rising Fist expansions.
