The THINKChip Interactive System was a set of Pokémon toys distributed by Hasbro from 2000 to 2001. It was succeeded by a ThinkChip+ system featured in the Battle Trainer sets.
Each of the collectible figures contained an electronic THINKChip, which enabled the storage of unique sound effects and other data. Each figure came with a display card.

Prototype figures
These figures were planned to be released, but they never received an official release. They were planned to be released in October 2001.[1] Venusaur and Entei were showcased at Toy Fair 2001.[2]
THINKChip Battle Stadium
The Battle Stadium was released in August 2000 and came packaged with Squirtle and Geodude.[3] The Johto Battle Stadium was released in the Fall of 2001 and came packaged with Bulbasaur and Charmander.[1] The figures attach themselves to dedicated ports on the Battle Stadiums, which activates sound effects. Only two figures could be used at any given time while four figures could be stored within the Poké Ball compartments located on the sides of the Battle Stadium sets. Press button located at either end of the Battle Stadium enabled for attacking.

Electronic Ash's Talking Pokédex
When a Pokémon THINKCHIP figure is placed onto the Pokédex, the Pokémon's name, type, and battle stats can be read.[4] The collectable cards that come with each of the figures can slot into the display screen of the Pokédex.
Ash Figure sets
The Ash & Cyndaquil set was released sometime in 2001.[2]
The talking and moveable Ash figure requires four AA batteries to operate; the battery hatch is located in Ash's backpack. With the press of his belt, Ash will have a conversation with a Pokémon when a figure is attached to the port, which is contained within his Poké Ball. Each Pokémon figure results in a different interaction.
