Cyclone 2 was a handheld Pokémon game designed and manufactured by Tiger Electronics. It was released in the US in 1999. The game can be played by scanning one of the included plastic Pokémon disks to use in a battle, either against a computer player or a second person using a second Cyclone 2 system. In Japan, the system was known as the "Super Batomen 2", and was released by Tomy in 1996. Both iterations of the game use three AAA batteries.
Each plastic Pokémon disk features a single Pokémon on the front, as well as its in-game stats. Each disk has a circular barcode on the underside which is scanned into the game. There were 8 disks included per pack, and additional disks could be purchased separately through booster packs.
There was also a "Research" mode included in the game, which could be used to research and experiment with the Pokémon's in-game attacks. The game used a variety of symbols displayed on the LCD screen to indicate the Pokémon's status, HP level, and more.

Trivia
- Despite the name of "Pokémon Cyclone 2" there was no "Cyclone 1" released in the US.
- The packaging states that players can "Collect and battle over 150 Pokémon." However, it is unknown if all of the original 151 Pokémon were distributed as Cyclone Disks.
