Talk:Cosmog (Pokémon)
Japanese name is コスモッグ (Kosumoggu), both it and it's English name derive from Cosmo + Smog --Browser (talk) 15:42, 27 October 2016 (UTC)

...may I suggest a bit of trivia be added? Cosmog and its evolution family are the very first legendary Pokémon to evolve. - LDEJRuff 19:36, 1 December 2016 (UTC)
Possible Ultra Beast
From the terminal in Secret Lab 2 in Aether Paradise: "Cosmog is hypothesized to be a type of Ultra Beast that hails from another dimension. A dimension we have named Ultra Space. When placed under sufficient stress, it reveals the power to create and open Ultra Wormholes in order to escape from its suffering. We are now working on a device that will allow us to manipulate the Ultra Wormholes created when Cosmog is subjected to extreme stress..." Whilst it isn't for definite an Ultra Beast, shouldn't the fact it's theorized and can make Ultra Wormholes be mentioned both here and on the Ultra Beasts page? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 21:09, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- Makes sense, as the Aether Foundation believed it to be a possible Ultra Beast. and the fact it connect to the Ultra Beast does deserve a mention. And it unknown if its evolve forms are considered Ultra Beasts. I will leave to you guys to decide.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 21:29, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
- In SM044, Lusamine refers to the Cosmog Nebby as an Ultra Beast for its ability to open Ultra Wormholes. Should we understand this to simply be a conjecture by this character? I don't think her statement is definitive enough to be considered canon in-game. (It'd hardly be the first time a detail from the anime didn't translate over to the games and vice versa.) Legendary Baby?
Would Cosmog be classified as a Baby Pokémon? It has low stats, a shallow movepool, cannot breed, and evolves into Pokémon many times stronger than it is. This is similar to other Baby Pokémon, with the only major difference being that Cosmog's adult forms can't breed either. EthanLac (talk) 01:46, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
- Cosmog is not obtainable by breeding, which does not fit a baby Pokémon. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:51, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
Oh, ok, thanks. EthanLac (talk) 17:07, 20 December 2016 (UTC)
