Something which is held in reserve

'Something which is held in reserve'? Sounds to me that Pachirisu learns an attack along the lines of SolarBeam.--Pokencyclopedia 21:33, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Quote Bulbanews, "Pachirisu learns ? (とっておき, lit. something which is held in reserve), which can only be used when all other moves have been used." --Pie 22:05, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps a less literal translation would be something like "Secret Weapon" or "Last Resort". Those seem to be phrases along the lines of what it's getting at. --Zeta 22:47, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Pachirisu sprite

Where did the Pachirisu sprite come from? --Libertyernie 15:59, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Species name

I noticed the species name for this Pokémon is EleSquirrel, obviously because of the maximum length for species names in the game. Won't this length be mirrored? I guess there are more of them through Bulbapedia. Of course Electric Squirrel is more informative; I just had this question about style. --Johans 17:20, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Those are probably translations from the Japanese. Change those to the English ones. - 振霖T 07:56, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

My brother says Pachirisu's a penguin. Is he wrong? Sneedly94 19:23, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

It's Piplup who's a penguin. Pachirisu is a squirrel. - Jonah 20:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Is Pachirisu?? (It is right?)

"Pachirisu is the only non legendary Electric Pokémon to date not to evolve into or from any other Pokémon" Is it worth to be trivia? I have to ask because sometimes they erased things ¬¬.YukitoOoO 02:29, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Nope, it's already stated in the page that Plusle and Minun share that trait. (and Rotom too, although some consider it legendary)--Cappuccino 12:08, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Its impossible for Rotom, because it changes forms...--Makupe 02:28, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Nope, Burmy. ht14 02:32, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Egg Moves

My Pachirisu in my Pokémon Platinum knows Toxic after i breed a girl Pachirsu and a boy Roserade. Should this be added. I think so but i don't know how to put in that kind of thing. - unsigned comment from Mudkipluvr4ever (talkcontribs)

Toxic isn't an Egg Move for Pachirisu. It's a TM that Pachirisu can learn, so the father passes it down. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 04:59, 18 December 2009 (UTC)

So it isn't an egg move even though Roserade gave it to him? - unsigned comment from Mudkipluvr4ever (talkcontribs) It's A TM that she can learn, even though Roserade gave it to her. If a Pokémon can learn a move by Level Up or TM then it can automatically learn it by Egg. Some moves can only be learned by egg, THESE are Egg Moves. Oh, and always sign with four of these ~ Ok? Evolution

Yeah, I know, everyone wants Emonga to be its evolved form. No confirmation yet on it or Mamanbou being evolved forms of crappy single-stage Pokémon. So speculation goes FORUMS WAY. TTEchidna 02:29, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Pachiris

Is the "u" at the end pronounced in Japanese?Bug Catcher Wade 09:14, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Pachirisu's Egg move Flail STAB ?

Does Pachirisu get STAB when using egg move Flail? I thought Flail is a Normal type move, not Electric.

Hiten (talk) 05:46, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Looks like that was a mistake. I have removed it. --SnorlaxMonster 06:33, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Se Jun Park

Just wanted to see if Se Jun Park's team is worth noting on the respective pages of the pokemon he used? - unsigned comment from Leo19 (talkcontribs)

On origin section...

Pachirisu is likely based on Hokkaido Red Squirrel/Scuirius vulgaris orientis [1], an endemic subspecies of Red Squirrel to Hokkaido. Trainer Yusuf (talk) 07:03, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
