Talk:Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version
Heart Scales
When I played this, I actually got one set of Heart Scales after 9 adventures and another set after 10 adventures. Is this only me that this happened to or did anyone else get that? --ZestyCactus 04:41, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
- Same happened to me. After adventures 9 and 10, I received the message telling me I earned a set of Heart Scales. After adventure 9, however, Steven didn't have the Heart Scales on his list of rewards. They did appear on the rewards list after adventure 10, though, noting that it was a set of 5. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 04:45, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
Trainer and Pokémon listings?
Do we want the Trainers and Pokémon listed? Not much point to them, but it seems kinda strange not to have them. glikglak 22:09, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- FWIW, I intend to add those things in a day or two or few... This page/game could use some (or any) detail on a number of things. I just need to finish investigating everything I can as well as I can, short of the Nugget mission (and short of resetting the game to check some miscellanea).
- At the moment, I plan to put it all on this page, but that could certainly make the page pretty long. On the other hand, though, I don't really know what page name to use for info on Trainers and/or Pokemon... Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:44, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- Even with 25+ Trainers and the 16+ Pokémon, I don't see the page getting larger than some of the multi-game Routes. And the islands after the initial adventure are Mirage Spots, so we won't have to say "Island with the palm tree". glikglak 23:28, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- I didn't know they were in ORAS... I don't have it right now. But we don't seem to have a page on Mirage Spot(s) right now. (Not knowing enough about them:) You're supposing that eventually such a page or pages will be created and that's where the Pokemon info should go?
- In a sort of related vein, is there an obvious naming or labeling scheme for the Mirage Spots/demo islands? In my mind, they're just beach, cliffs, ruins, mini mountain, and forest (circle); plus the Expert cave and the locations for the secret missions. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:41, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- With how little info the individual Mirage Spots have in the guide, I'm thinking the non-special ones will be condensed into group pages for each variant (Forest 1-8, Cave 1-8, Island 1-8, Mountain 1-8). If that were done, I'd say demo Pokémon should be on this page.
- Circular forest is Mirage Forest 7, Nugget mission is Mirage Forest 8, Expert battle is Mirage Cave 1, palm tree island is Mirage Island 4, island with ruins is Mirage Island 8, steep cliffs is Mirage Mountain 3, and the one that looks like a regular mountain is Mirage Mountain 7. The initial adventure island appears to be an altered Mirage Cave 8. glikglak 00:01, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
- Maybe I'll just leave the Pokemon info on the talk page here after I edit the mainspace page, then, so it can be put in the correct place later...
- By the way, can you also identify the Mirage Spot location for the Team Aqua/Magma secret mission? Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:10, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
Is the demo dead?
My game and a friend's game have started saying "Come back tomorrow" when we have attempted to transfer gifts. Could the demo have stopped working in light of the release? ~ By Caroline under Bulbagarden ~ (talk) 03:50, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
- I don't think it's said on this page, but I believe you can only do one transfer per day. Perhaps that's your problem.
- I'm sure lots of people would expect to get ORAS for Christmas (that's plainly a big part of the timing for their release), so it certainly shouldn't stop working before then. Or ever, I should think. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:59, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
- Not to mention that the player must use Pokémon Link between transfers to actually get the items transferred to their game, which is the likely issue anyways. --Super goku (talk) 08:15, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Weird language differences on the eShop
Just to write this down somewhere since otherwise it makes the language table look weird.
- The French and Spanish names sometimes abbreviate and sometimes don't, and they do it under different circumstances.
- If you browse the eShop on the 3DS in Spanish and look up the ORAS demo, whether it's abbreviated or not depends on whether you're using a U region 3DS or an E region 3DS. The Virtual Console games do something similar with inconsistent names (see bottom of that page).
- If you browse the eShop on the 3DS in French and look up the ORAS demo, it's abbreviated on both a U region 3DS and an E region 3DS. Once it's downloaded to the home screen, the name expands.
