Talk:Spirit Shackle (move)
The trailer showed this move against a Ghost Oricorio, I had assumed that hinted this move could trap Ghost types as well? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 20:34, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Variations of this Move
A Move that attacks and prevents Pokemon from Fleeing or Switching out. Both Spirit Shackle and Anchor Shot does the same thing. Wolfgerlion64 (talk) 00:54, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
- Anchor Shot has 10 PP more than Spirit Shackle, and as such they don't technically qualify as variations according to Bulbapedia's standards. —AndyPKMN (talk) 02:18, 12 December 2016 (UTC)
- And yet, Ice Beam is counted as a Flamethrower variant despite having 5 less uses. Dazzling Gleam is also counted as a Strength variant despite having 10 less uses as well. We can add a "10 or 20 PP" notice and it should work. - unsigned comment from EthanLac (talk • contribs)
- The rules on move variations are clear: a difference of 5 PP is close enough, but no larger difference in PP is OK. Dazzling Gleam has 10 PP and Strength has 15, so that's alright. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:38, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

Shiny Animation
I have a Shiny Decidueye in my current Ultra Sun playthrough, and I noticed that when using this move, in the initial animation unique to Decidueye (where it makes the bow from its wings and fires the arrow), both the bow and the arrow are colored black and red, reflecting its Shiny wing coloration, but in the second part (when the arrows does the loop and then hits the target's shadow), the arrow reverts regular, non-shiny tan color.
My first question is if someone who has a copy of Sword or Shield can check what the animation looks like in those games.
My second question is if the Decideye-specific animation is sufficient for this move to join Mind Blown and Dragon Darts as being the only moves with the animation being different for Shiny Pokemon (assuming the second animation remains non-Shiny in SwSh).- unsigned comment from ABZB (talk • contribs)
