Spirit Shackle (Japanese: かげぬい Shadow Stitching) is a damage-dealing Ghost-type move introduced in Generation VII. It is the signature move of Alolan Decidueye.

It can be upgraded to the special Z-Move Sinister Arrow Raid by Decidueye holding Decidium Z.

Effect

Spirit Shackle inflicts damage and prevents the target from fleeing or switching out as long as the user remains in battle. Wimp Out, Emergency Exit, the Red Card, the Shed Shell, and the Eject Button can bypass this effect.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Spirit Shackle cannot be selected in a battle.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Spirit Shackle is Decidueye's first move. It is obtained by evolving from Dartrix and upgrading Leafage into it instead of Razor Leaf. The user charges power before firing a large arrow in the designated direction. Damage dealt increases the longer power is charged (with 6 breakpoints), but movement speed is decreased by 25% while charging. If this move hits after power is charged to the maximum, it can stitch enemies to the ground. The affected enemy has their movement speed decreased by 80% for a short time while in the area, and receives damage upon leaving the area. A maximum of 3 uses can be kept in reserve for this move. At level 11, the move deals 15% more damage to enemies under 50% HP.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Method

Decidueye Decidueye draws an arrow quill from its wing, with a shadowy aura surrounding the tip after it's drawn, and fires it at the opponent. The arrow loops around the opponent before striking the ground in front of it, creating a burst of blue fire-like energy around the opponent or sticking the opponent's shadow in place, preventing the opponent from moving.
