Merge?

I think we should, instead of separate articles, have one list of glitch moves and their effects. TTEchidnaGSDS! 00:20, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Same here. I just don't think they're notable enough for their own article. Perhaps something similar to the list of moves on the Type pages, except with a section underneath each move showing all the Pokémon that can learn it. Tina δ 00:25, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I agree, as this would probably cut down on some lag, although part of my problem may be my Anti-Virus checking, and I have a lot of stuff on my computer. Midnight Celtic 00:27, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I vehemently disagree. Glitch moves are every bit as notable as the Glitch Pokémon that learn them. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 23:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
He's got somewhat of a point. I mean, things like Ash's Raticate shouldn't be worthy enough of it's own article, and Purification Chamber should be merged with Purification, etc. But they probably should be merged, and he's somewhat biased anyway. Gligar 23:21, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
this was discussed over 7 months ago...but, ill say that Super Glitch probably does deserve its own page in my opinion as its among the more notable glitch moves. Cooltrainer im unsure about. -- MAGNEDETH 23:24, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Wow, no-one suggested that merge between Purification and Purification Chamber for that long! Adding merge tag now. (I noticed this is a bit old) --SnorlaxMonster 10:25, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Remove from the move category

This isn't a real move. This should be removed from the move category. --ケンジガール 08:11, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Video?

Can someone record using it? I would but I don't have a video camera:(. - unsigned comment from Mtn otter (talkcontribs) Yeah, would like a youtube video.--Zekrombolt (talk) 12:38, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Wha...

I'm not getting any of these effects at all. I'm getting a completely different set of effects, should I post those as well? --Pycthedragon 23:04, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Sometimes you get different ones. The "TMTRAINER" one listed is the most common.

If you're using no move (presumably on Ditto) yeah it often just does a pretty standard looking attack most of the time. OwnageMuch 03:31, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Move suggestion

"Super Glitch is the nickname for a large amount of volatile glitch moves that exist in hexadecimal slots AC to C3 in Pokémon Red and Blue." Super glitch effects can also occasionally be caused by the move --.

To Super Glitch (moves)

Opinions? OwnageMuch 09:54, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Well, I don't think it would be that bad of an idea, but the "(move)" suffix is really just for consistency and link templates. "(moves)" would break this. If anything, I would say remove the "(move)" altogether—it is not a real move, and there is nothing else called "Super Glitch". --SnorlaxMonster 03:36, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

corrupted name & the Old man glitch

I was wondering what would happen if the old man glitch, or even just watching the tutorial for the old man, was done with the corrupted name caused by this glitch? Does it just cause the game to crash? Does the name get changed so one can save after using this glitch? Does Johto-guard exclusive Pokémon appear on Cinnabar Island? Does Missingno jump out of the game and attack you in real life? Presuming the last one doesn't happen, can someone check to see what the corrupted name has involving the old man and his glitch?TrainerX493 (talk) 18:57, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

I'm fairly sure that you would just encounter five Pokémon based on the values your name got corrupted to (characters 2-11), if the self-referencing name glitch is ignored. I tried doing the old man glitch after the ZZAZZ glitch once and I encountered Bulbasaur as expected.
Additionally, the reason why certain glitch Pokémon were believed once to only be obtainable with the Johto guard glitch is because they bring up Trainers when 'encountered' directly in battle or their front sprites freeze the game. If you encountered hypothetically say the hex:F7 glitch Pokémon thanks to Super Glitch putting an F7 ("1") in your name, then it would appear as Lance. If it was the C4 character, PokéWTrainer would appear but that glitch Pokémon's sprite is believed to always freeze the game so you couldn't get it. Chickasaurus (talk) 20:20, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
