Taunting Without A Move
If you taunt an opponent that has no attack move, or has an attack move without PP, will the move fail? ChknNuggets 22:22, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- No Taunt will work even if you don't have an attack move. If you use Taunt on a wild abra it will work even though its only attack is Teleport. Hope this helps! Pokemaster97 22:40, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- The said Abra (or the same principle applied to any other Pokémon with no available attacking move) would be forced into using Struggle the next turn after being subjected to the Taunt). --Chickasaurus 23:33, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
Does the first turn count towards three-turn duration?
i.e. Aerodactyl and Azelf are against each other and both use taunt. Aerodactyl outruns Azelf and uses taunt, making Azelf's taunt fail. Does that turn (in which taunt was effective) count towards the three-turn duration or is Azelf still subject to taunt for three turns after its first action already failed as a result of taunt. I have not used this move before.
Colosseum Description
According to the article, the TM description in Colosseum is "Enrages the targeet so it can only use attack moves." Is this spelling error in the game, or just a mistake in the article? EnosShayremTalk 08:54, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
On Taunt on Kricketune
Does Kricketune get Taunt through TM in Platinum as well? Can anyone check this? Trainer Yusuf (talk) 17:41, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
Taunt possibly in the anime?
Just a crazy thought, but could the Buzzwole that Ash and the Ultra Guardians encountered be using the move Taunt as it was flexing its muscles? I would imagine one flexing their own muscles could be a possible way of taunting at an opponent.
