Typhlosion (Japanese: バクフーン Bakphoon) is a Fire-type Stage 2 Pokémon card. It is part of the Neo Genesis expansion.

Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, attach a Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Pokémon. This power can't be used if Typhlosion is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.

Flame Burst バーストフレイム 60+

Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 60 damage plus 20 more damage and does 20 damage to Typhlosion. If tails, this attack does 60 damage.

Trivia

• The initial Japanese print run saw Typhlosion's attack damage listed as "60". This was eventually corrected to "60+", but not until late into the print run, making the erroneous version much more common.

Origin

Flame Burst is a move introduced in the Generation V Pokémon games that Typhlosion can learn via breeding, however the Japanese names are not the same, making this attack and the move unrelated. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Silver.
