Goh's Sandile (Japanese: ゴウメグロコ Go's Meguroco) is the second Pokémon that Goh caught in the Unova region, and his twenty-sixth overall.

History

In Raid Battle in the Ruins!, Goh first encountered Sandile soon after he and Ash entered the Colossus Ruins. Scorbunny accidentally made Sandile angry when it stepped on its tail. The Desert Croc Pokémon attacked, only to be defeated by Scorbunny's Double Kick, allowing Goh to catch it and add it to his team. It was later seen at Cerise Laboratory with the rest of Goh's Pokémon.

During a food shortage in Panic in the Park!, it and Misdreavus tried tricking the other Pokémon into giving up their own food. When a group led by Scyther came looking for a fight, Sandile and Misdreavus immediately joined their side. It later helped protect Goh's three Cascoon from a flood created when Goh's Golurk went berserk, thus allowing them to evolve into Dustox.

Personality and characteristics

Sandile tends to get angry relatively quickly, as seen in Raid Battle in the Ruins!, when it started to attack after Scorbunny stepped on Sandile's tail. However, Sandile is also clever, as seen in Panic in the Park!, when it teamed up with Misdreavus to appear strong to the other Pokémon so they could trick them into giving up their own food. However, Sandile is quick to change sides, as seen when a group of Pokémon led by Scyther came looking for a fight.

• Sandile is both Goh's first Ground-type and Dark-type Pokémon.
