Goh's Floette (Japanese: ゴウのフラエッテ Go's Floette) is the ninth Pokémon that Goh caught in Kalos, and his fifty-first overall.

History

Floette and Goh

During A Festival Reunion!, Goh caught four Flabébé from each colored-flower, with the final one, the White Flower Flabébé being caught off-screen at the end of the episode. Her capture was confirmed in The Cuteness Quotient! when she was seen around Cerise Park with the other Flabébé.

In Under Color of Darkness!, the other four Flabébé evolved into Floette. However, the White Flower Flabébé lost one of the petals in her flower, which affected her ability to fly properly and keep up with the other Floette, and was thus unable to evolve along with the others. Seeing this, Goh and Ash decide to travel to Kalos in search of a new petal. Despite their best efforts, they are unable to find a good petal to replace Flabébé's original one, leaving her dejected. Eventually, Flabébé finally finds a white petal to replace her original one and after learning Grassy Terrain, she evolves into Floette and creates two new buds in place of the flowers that were just picked. Floette remains worried about the future of the white flowers. Goh understands that Floette wants to stay behind to protect the flowers, which she confirms. After a tearful farewell, Floette flies off into the distance to create her own flower garden.

Personality and characteristics

Floette cares very much about her flower, becoming depressed whenever her flower gets damaged. She also seems quite close to Goh's other four Floette, as they are always seen flying around together, with the only exception being when her White Flower lost a petal, affecting her ability to fly and keep up with her kind.

Floette also seems quite attached towards Goh, seen as she, as a Flabébé, remained clinging onto Goh's hair after her flower was damaged, and Goh continuously comforted her by promising to help her find a new flower, and telling Flabébé that she could use his own head as a "flower" for as long as necessary, which Flabébé found somewhat comforting and was appreciative of Goh's attempts to cheer her up. When Floette decided to pursue her dream of creating her own flower garden, she and Goh had a tearful farewell, but Goh remained supportive of her decision and dream.
