Good Work!
Good catch on those mistakes. Keep it up! ht14 05:30, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Userspace limits
Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User:
namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --MaverickNate 18:56, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
Uppercase
Thank you for your edits, but when youedit you need to make sure you are doing it properly. The first letter of Pokémon names, Pokémon moves, names, what types of moves in templates (Special, Physical, Status), etc need to be uppercase. For instance, a in a recent edit you put minezumi when it should be Minezumi. Thanks. --HoennMaster 21:28, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
- sorry i was hasty thank you for fixing it --Facade11663 21:53, 12 December 2010 (UTC)
The Preview Key
Please utilize the preview key when making edits. This allows you to check your revisions and see if it works, especially when using templates or links. This allows you to combine multiple small edits into one. Thanks! --rockersk08 17:53, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- Did you not read the last message? While your contributions are helpful, making that many edits in a short time is unnecessary, and can put stress on the server. Please use the Preview key. --rockersk08 18:12, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- sorry just noticed your message my mistake--Facade11663 18:22, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- i always thought the preview key was to prevent glitches not for small edits ^^' --Facade11663 18:25, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- The Preview Key is generally a safety measure, and a form of reassurance. It is more critical with template usage, but consolidating small edits into one large edit is more preferred. There were times were server stress was so high it was almost impossible to edit, so consolidating edits is good practice. --rockersk08 18:36, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- I've been warned about the same thing, so I thought about giving you a piece of advice: If you want to edit a page while playing the game, adding information about catches, trainers, items, etc, copy the code of the page/section you want to edit to a text file, make as many edits you want in it, and then, when you stop playing that day, paste all the information in one-shot. But remember to keep track of changes in the page you want to contribute. --Blow (話す) 18:53, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
- I'd just like to remind you about this again. You seem to be making quite a few consecutive edits to the same page. --SnorlaxMonster 04:45, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- sorry it's kind of hard dealing with trainers and items :S--Facade11663 04:49, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- What you should do is put
{{inuse}}
on the page, then just add them, without saving, as you go. When you finish the whole thing, then save the page. That way, you only make one edit. --SnorlaxMonster 04:57, 16 December 2010 (UTC)- OMG THANK YOU THAT WILL BE A BIG HELP--Facade11663 05:00, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- BTW, you don't really need to use it for your userpage, because you are the only one that should be editing it. The only time other people will edit it is if you are using templates which have been deleted/moved, categorizing your page, or linking to delete/moved images or pages. --SnorlaxMonster 05:42, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
- I know :D--Facade11663 05:46, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
