Genders
Barely any of the anime Pokémon have confirmed genders. If someone points it out, a la Dawn's Aipom, then you can post it. Please no assumptions. Tina δ♫20:35, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
Unless the specifically said in the anime "Good boy, Pikachu!" or "Oh, yea Pikachu is male" in the anime, THE GENDER IS NOT CONFIRMED!!!! Even though some pokemon where dresses in Steamboat Willies, that DOES NOT confirm that they're female!!!! Another case is Brock's Happiny, which is definatly female becasue ALL Happinys are female.....please, don't guess what gender a pokemon is!!! --Theryguy512 20:39, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I've kinda said this on the forum, but Buneary being in a dress along with Aipom and Happiny (both female) has always been good enough for me to tag Buneary as female. The dub line just helped that along...and nothing in the original contradicts it.
- But Buneary doesn't matter. Pikachu is unconfirmed and no amout of "makes sense" will change that.
Just because Tracey's Marill is a parent of Misty's Azurill (something that I don't think was even mentioned in the dub) does not automatically make Tracey's Marill female. The fact that Misty's Azurill knows Refresh means nothing, since the anime could have given Azurill Refresh through some bull**** method. Please don't go inserting unconfirmed genders into anime Pokémon articles.
From what we know about the situation, the other parent of Misty's Azurill could be a random Pallet Town trainer's Marill or Azumarill. And while odds are Gary has a Marill or Azumarill, there is no guarantee that Gary actually does have a Marill or Azumarill and even less of a guarantee that such a Pokémon would be the other parent. --Shiningpikablu252 23:23, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
