Sapphire (Japanese: サファイア Sapphire) is a character from the Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire manga. She is based on May from Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire.

History

She first appears in the chapter Let's Try To Be Idols!!. She is a Pokémon Coordinator who competed with her Torchic against Isamu Akai and his Clefairy.

Personality and characteristics

Sapphire is shown to be very competitive against her opponents as seen when her Torchic went up against Isamu's Clefairy in the Pokémon Contest.
