Techno Blast (Japanese: テクノバスター Techno Buster) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation V. It is the signature move of Genesect.
Effect
Generation V
Techno Blast inflicts damage and has no secondary effect. The type of Techno Blast depends on the type of Drive held by the user, being Normal-type if there is none held, and Electric, Fire, Ice, or Water with the appropriate Drive.
Generations VI to VII
Techno Blast's power was changed from 85 to 120.
Generation VIII
In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Techno Blast cannot be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable and functions the same as it did in the previous generation.
If the user Dynamaxes, the move is displayed as Max Strike, but becomes the Max Move of whichever type of Drive it is holding when used.
