Lucario debuted in Lost Leader Strategy!, where it was battling with Maylene. Lucario used Aura Sphere to stop the battle of Electabuzz, Piplup and Pikachu. It is also seen battling Paul's Pokémon in a flashback, being easily defeated by Magmar, first by being trapped with a Fire Spin, and then being finished off with a Fire Punch uppercut.
In Crossing the Battle Line!, Lucario battled in Dawn's Gym battle against Maylene. It defeated Dawn's Ambipom and Piplup.
In A Triple Fighting Chance!, Lucario participated in Ash's Gym battle against Maylene. It defeated Ash's Staravia and Chimchar, but was knocked out along with Ash's Buizel, resulting in a tie.
In Enter Galactic!, Lucario helped Ash and the others defeat Saturn and Team Galactic.
Lucario reappeared in a flashback in League Unleashed.
