Catastropika (Japanese: ひっさつのピカチュート Certain-kill Pikachoot) is a damage-dealing Electric-type Z-Move introduced in Generation VII. It is the exclusive Z-Move of Pikachu and an upgraded version of its signature move, Volt Tackle.

Catastropika does damage and has no secondary effect.

Generation VIII onwards

Catastropika cannot be selected in a battle.

Description

Games Description SMUSUMPE The user, Pikachu, surrounds itself with the maximum amount of electricity using its Z-Power and pounces on its target with full force. SwShBDSPLA SV This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered.

Learnset

Pikachu, or a Pokémon transformed into Pikachu, can use Catastropika if it knows Volt Tackle, holds a Pikanium Z, and if its Trainer wears a Z-Ring^SM or Z-Power Ring^USUM.

Only regular Pikachu can use Catastropika. Pikachu in a cap cannot use Catastropika, even if it meets the requirements.

	Pikachu strikes a series of synchronized poses with its Trainer to build Z-Power. Pikachu then jumps into its Trainer's arms and is thrown into the air, where it starts spinning around rapidly and becomes surrounded by yellow electricity. It then slams into the opponent with great force.

Trivia

• Along with 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt, Catastropika is the only species-exclusive Z-Move to have a unique pose not shared with other Z-Moves of the same type. Coincidentally, both are exclusive to Pikachu.
• Catastropika has the highest base power of all Electric-type moves.
