Shiny Pokémon
To prevent game crashes if they are hacked into the game and for consistency, all Pokémon have a shiny form but some of them were never obtainable legitimately and locked to never be shiny. Zygarde, Hoopa (both forms), Volcanion, Cosplay Pikachu, Kyogre, Groudon, Deoxys, and Rayquaza all have shiny forms but are locked to never be obtainable. A shiny Rayquaza, however; was distributed at the time via events.
Every Pokémon in the game are programmed to have a Shiny variant, but some of them cannot be obtained legally. These Shiny Pokémon may have been distributed in a later generation or are currently still not obtainable. Some shiny Pokémon, such as Cosplay Pikachu's costumes, are identical to their normal counterparts.

Latest revision as of 06:37, 26 June 2024

It has been suggested that this article be moved to Development leftovers of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Please discuss whether or not to move it on its talk page.

This article is incomplete.
Please feel free to edit this article to add missing information and complete it.
Reason: More info

This article lists the unused content of the Generation VI games Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire that has been discovered by data-mining the ROMs.

Trainers

Although female Psychics and Triathletes are no longer found in Hoenn, there are unused Trainer's Eyes entries for them.

Trainer Location Strategy Favorite Pokémon Trainer Message
Triathlete Abigail Route 110 Defense is crucial. My Pokémon are solid. I began this as a way to lose weight, but it's so fun that I got sucked in.
Psychic Jacki Route 123 Battle at full power. Pokémon of many mysteries. When we "spoke," I was using my telepathy to communicate with you.
Triathlete Katelyn Route 128 All-out offensive! Water Pokémon rule! I must swim over six miles every day!
Triathlete Maria Route 117 Speed above all! I use speedy Pokémon. A marathon is a challenge against your own self.

Graphics

The full-body variants of Brendan's and May's Contest outfits are never seen in-game but the files are in the ROMs. They are just in-game copies of the official artwork, however.

Eternal Floette

AZ's Eternal Floette is also present in these games.

Moves

Three unused moves exist in the data of the Generation VI games. No legally obtainable Pokémon can learn them, and no Pokémon were ever distributed knowing the move. Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves can be learned by Zygarde in Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Unused dialogue

A lady in the Dewford Pokémon Center explains the hiragana/kanji setting in the Options menu in the Japanese version. As this option is not present in international versions, her dialogue is changed, leaving both the English translation of the Japanese dialogue and the Japanese version of the international dialogue unused.
