Biology
Physiology
Terrakion is a bovine, quadrupedal Pokémon. It has a black, rounded forehead adorned with two brown, axe-like horns that curve forward. Its face is beige with orange eyes and a short snout. On top of its head are several short spikes. Down its back are two brown ridges that join just past its shoulders. There are two orange protrusions on its shoulders. The bands around its legs are the same color as its face, and it has black hooves underneath these bands. Its striped underside is also beige. It has a short, stubby tail.
Terrakion is a quadruped Pokémon with a bear-like body with gray coloring. Its tail is stubby. Terrakion has a black, rounded forehead and two sharp brown horns that come forward from Terrakion's back. Its face is beige, with orange irises. It has claws under bands on its legs- the bands are the same color as its face. Its underside is also beige with stripes.

Gender differences
Terrakion fought alongside the other Swords of Justice during a war with humans in order to protect Pokémon. Terrakion is said to possess phenomenal strength; it can destroy a castle wall with one blow. Should a small Pokémon be bullied by anyone or anything, Terrakion will crush them without mercy. Terrakion loves Terrakion Treats made by Snacksworth, who once sat and enjoyed some snacks with it in the past. Iron Boulder shares a resemblance to Terrakion. Iron Boulder is believed to be a futuristic Terrakion that was modified by a villainous organization.
Terrakion is a genderless species.

Special abilities
In Generation V, Sacred Sword was its signature move.
Terrakion is strong enough to break castle walls.

Behavior
Terrakion dislikes humans, due to them destroying Pokémon habitats.

Habitat
Terrakion (Japanese: テラキオン Terrakion) is a dual-type Rock/Fighting Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation V.

It is not known to evolve into or from any Pokémon.

Along with Cobalion, Virizion, and Keldeo, Terrakion is a member of the Swords of Justice. In the anime, they are also associated with Kyurem.

The Paradox Pokémon Iron Boulder is said to be a future relative of Terrakion.

Biology

Terrakion is a bovine, quadrupedal Pokémon. It has a black, rounded forehead adorned with two brown, axe-like horns that curve forward. Its face is beige with orange eyes and a short snout. On top of its head are several short spikes. Down its back are two brown ridges that join just past its shoulders. There are two orange protrusions on its shoulders. The bands around its legs are the same color as its face, and it has black hooves underneath these bands. Its striped underside is also beige. It has a short, stubby tail.

In Generation V, Sacred Sword was its signature move.

Trivia

 • No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Terrakion.
 • Terrakion is similar to Moltres in three ways: it is a member of a non-mascot Legendary trio, is found in its region's Victory Road in the first games that feature its region, and is found in a different location in all subsequent games.
 • Terrakion takes supereffective damage from Grass, Steel, Water, and Fighting; the collective types of the other members of its quartet.
 • Terrakion's Attack and Special Attack stats are the reverse of Keldeo's, while their other stats are identical.
 • Terrakion, Cobalion, and Virizion were all designed by Takao Unno.[1]

Origin

Terrakion is based on the character of Porthos from the novel The Three Musketeers.[1] Like Porthos, Terrakion is the heaviest, largest, and strongest member of the trio. It also has traits of bighorn sheep and oxen, with the charging behavior of bulls. Like the other members of its trio, its nose resembles that of a sheep, goat, or other hooved animal. Its horns are modeled after axes.[1]

Name origin

Terrakion may be a combination of terra (Latin for earth) or terracotta (a clay-based material, as well as its respective color), takin, and champion.
