Psystrike (Japanese: サイコブレイク Psycho Break) is a damage-dealing Psychic-type move introduced in Generation V. It is the signature move of Mewtwo.
Effect
This move effect may be in need of research. Reason: Interaction with Defense or Special Defense change from stat stage and others (stat-increasing Abilities and items). You can discuss this on the talk page. |
Psystrike inflicts damage. Psystrike uses the target's Defense instead of its Special Defense to calculate damage. Otherwise, it is considered a special move: it uses the user's Special Attack, activates Mirror Coat and Maranga Berry (not Counter or Kee Berry), has its damage reduced by Light Screen (not Reflect), etc.
