History

Altaria first appeared in A Mission of Ultra Urgency! along with the other Ride Pokémon, when the Ultra Guardians embarked on their first mission. Altaria is always used by Lillie.

Altaria reappeared in Twirling with a Bang!, where Lillie rode it to Melemele Island’s Route 3. Altaria, along with the other Pokémon helped perform a firework display of their own, distracting Xurkitree and Blacephalon long enough, enabling the Ultra Guardians to catch it.

Personality and characteristics

Altaria is shown to enjoy swimming in pools, as evident in I Choose Paradise!, where it ended up dragging Lillie in with it. It is also shown to be very affectionate towards Lillie.

Metang reappeared in Twirling with a Bang!, where Sophocles rode it to Melemele Island’s Route 3. Metang, along with the other Pokémon helped perform a firework display of their own, distracting Xurkitree and Blacephalon long enough, enabling the Ultra Guardians to catch it.

Metang reappeared in Sparking Confusion!. Sophocles sent it out to battle the Alolan Golem that was creating trouble at Wela Volcano Park.
