Mt. Pyre (Japanese: おくりびやま Mt. Pyre) is a location in Hoenn. It has an interior and exterior section and is located on Route 122.
Mt. Pyre can be considered a counterpart to Kanto's Pokémon Tower and House of Memories, Sinnoh's Lost Tower, and Unova's Celestial Tower. It houses the many graves of Pokémon. Many grieving Trainers also visit the Tower to pay their respects. Also present within the mountain are thrill-seeking Trainers who will battle the player when encountered. Mt. Pyre can also be considered the opposite of the Cave of Origin, considered the beginning of life, as Mt. Pyre represents the grave and the end of life.
An old couple that live on the summit of the mountain are well versed in the legends of Hoenn and are Hoenn Elite Four member Phoebe's grandparents. They guard the Red Orb and Blue Orb that are sought by Team Aqua and Team Magma.
In Ruby and Sapphire Versions, Team MagmaR or Team AquaS will steal the Blue OrbR or the Red OrbS from the summit of Mt. Pyre and use it to awaken GroudonR or KyogreS. After the legendary Pokémon is subdued, the player can return to the summit to watch MaxieR or ArchieS return the orb to its proper place, after which the player returns their own orb, and the villainous team's leader departs; Team Aqua and Team Magma are afterwards not seen for the rest of the game.
In Emerald Version, both Team Magma and Team Aqua will take one of the orbs to awaken Groudon and Kyogre, respectively. After the player has subdued the legendary Pokémon, the player can return to the summit to watch Maxie and Archie return the Blue Orb and Red Orb to their proper places and then depart. After the orbs are returned, Team Aqua and Team Magma are not seen for the rest of the game.

The location is first featured in I'm Always Grumpig First Thing in the Morning II. Tate and Liza were on guard duty inside Mt. Pyre and thus couldn't attend an emergency Gym Leader meeting at Fortree City. They failed to stop Blaise of Team Magma from stealing the Red and Blue Orbs from the summit.
Trivia
- Phoebe mentions before battle that she trained here. She also says that her grandmother lives here; this is likely the old lady on the summit.
- There is fog here, but it has no in-battle effect. This is because fog was not used as a game mechanic until Generation IV.
- When looking from the outside, there appears to be nothing at the summit. However, going through Mt. Pyre will reveal that there is. A similar situation occurs with Navel Rock.
