Reflect (Japanese: リフレクター Reflector) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Reflect doubles the user's Defense when the opponent damages the user with a physical move.
Reflect will fail if the user is already under its effect. The effect of Reflect is ignored by self-inflicted confusion damage and critical hits. If Reflect causes the user's defense to reach 1024 or higher at any time during battle calculations, it will be reduced mod 1024.
Generation II and on
Reflect will be in effect for 5 turns and will halve damage taken from physical moves. Reflect will disappear after 5 turns or when the opponent uses Brick Break or Shadow Shed in Pokémon XD.
Generation IV
A new held item, the Light Clay, increases the duration of the holder's Reflect, as well as that of the similar move Light Screen, by three turns.

Magcargo using Reflect.
An invisible wall is put in front of the Pokémon, an almost indestructible defense move that when it's surpassed its breaks in little pieces like a glass breaking. Basically it cut an attack damage in half, the move also lasts several turns even if the Pokémon is changed.
Pokémon
Magcargo. The move is created when its eyes turns light blue and its wall is flexible.
- Used by Flannery's Magcargo in Going, Going, Yawn! in a official battle against Ash Ketchum, after its defeat the wall was still working with Slugma until Ash's Pikachu broke it with Quick Attack.
Alakazam. The invisible wall is created when it crosses its spoons.
- Used by a giant Alakazam in The Ancient Puzzle of Pokémopolis.
Xatu. The wall is created when its eyes turns light blue and it opens its wings, when it closes it, the wall disappeared.
- Used by Calista's Xatu in Me, Myself and Time to protect them from the rocks.
