Hulbury Stadium is the largest building in the town and is the site at which the second installment in the Galarregion's Gym Challenge takes place. It is located at the northernmost part of the town. Like most Stadiums in the region, the Hulbury Stadium contains a Poké Mart and a uniform shop.
Gym Challenge
Gym mission
During the Gym mission, the player is required to navigate a maze that is partially blocked by falling streams of water.
There are a number of pairs of colored pipes and grills throughout the Gym. There are a total of three different colors: red, yellow, and blue. When activated, water falls from the pipe and runs through the grill, blocking the player from crossing that grill; when deactivated, the player can freely cross the grill. Initially, some of the pipes are activated, some are deactivated.
There are a number of colored switches throughout the Gym; pressing one of these switches activates all inactive pipes of the same color, but also deactivates all active pipes of the same color. The player has to press the switches in order to navigate the maze and reach the door at the back of the Gym.
The player can withdraw from the Gym mission at any time by returning to the entrance. If the player loses a battle or withdraws, the mission is reset; however, defeated Gym Trainers cannot be battled again. Once the player has completed the Gym mission, even if they leave or lose, they proceed straight to the Gym battle from the reception area.
The player cannot use Pokémon Camp, Pokémon Box Link, or VS during the Gym mission or in the hallway before the Gym battle.
While pursuing Sordward and Shielbert, the brothers will use their stock of Wishing Stars to force a Gyarados from the Stadium to Dynamax against its will, causing it to rampage in the Stadium. The player faces it with Hop, Piers, and Nessa in a Max Raid Battle to defeat it and calm it down.
After Henry had won his match using just Thwackey, Casey challenged Nessa as well in Splish Splash!! Gigantamax Battle. Despite her Scorbunny being at a disadvantage, she won due to a combination of Nessa's Pokémon still being tired out from the previous battle and her Scorbunny evolving into Raboot mid-battle. Afterwards, Bede, Marnie, and Hop also challenged and successfully beat Nessa.
Toxapex is Nessa's first known Pokémon. It was first seen participating in a photo shoot with Nessa. Later, it was used in a battle against Henry's Twiggy. Though it poisoned its opponent with Baneful Bunker, Toxapex was defeated when its body was heated up by Twiggy's Sunny Day, leaving it wide open for Twiggy's next attack.
Drednaw is Nessa's second known Pokémon. It was first used in Nessa's Gym battle against Henry, but it was defeated by Henry's Twiggy. It is housed in a Dive Ball.
None of Drednaw's moves are known*.
As a Gigantamax Drednaw, it can use Max Strike and G-Max Stonesurge.
