(Japanese:タクト Takuto) is a Pokémon Trainer who is currently competing in the Suzuran Conference. He first appeared in DP183, but he was shadowed. He was fully revealed in DP185.

History

According to Conway, Takuto easily obtained his eight gym badges and advanced through the first two rounds of the Sinnoh League using just his Darkrai. Takuto proceeded to advanced into the Top 8. In DP188 it was shown that he had advanced yet again, now placing in the top 4 of the Suzuran Conference. In DP189, he battled against Ash, now having to use a Latios, and won in the semifinals. Later he defeated a Trainer with a Magmortar using only his Darkrai in the final to win the Sinnoh League.

Darkrai is Takuto's main Pokémon. Using Darkrai, Takuto easily won eight badges in Sinnoh and quickly advanced through the first and second rounds of the Suzuran Conference.

In DP189, it defeated Ash's Heracross, Torkoal, and Gible, before being defeated by a Leaf Blade from Sceptile.

Darkrai's known moves are Ice Beam, Dark Void, Dream Eater and Dark Pulse.

Latios

Takuto's Latios

Debut	DP189

Latios is Takuto's other known Pokémon that was used in DP189, it defeated Ash's Sceptile, Swellow and tied with Pikachu, winning Takuto the match.

Latios's known moves are Giga Impact, Luster Purge and Light Screen.

Trivia

• Even though his face is covered in his debut in DP183, Takuto still appears in DP182 on the match up board for the upcoming battles in the Suzuran Conference in the bottom right corner with a clear image of his face.
• Takuto is the third named and non-Elite Four trainer to use a Pokemon considered Uber. The other two are Jessie of Team Rocket (Wobbuffet) and J (Salamence).
  • He is also the first trainer to own more than one Uber Pokemon and the first to own an Legendary Pokemon.
