It evolves from Shuppet starting at level 37.
Biology
Physiology
Banette is a black, humanoid, doll-like Pokémon which is possessed with pure hatred. It has three spikes on its head and a long zigzag-shaped ribbon hanging down from its head. It has a mouth
like-zipper Banette has long, three-fingered hands and short, stubby legs, and has a yellow, brush-like tail.

Banette generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body like a voodoo doll.
Behavior
They are said to live in garbage dumps and wander about in search of the children that threw them away.

According to legend, Banette live in urban areas to seek out the people that threw them away and haunt them.

When Meowth was attempting to disguise himself as a Banette in Ghoul Daze!, he was scared off by a real one that was accompanied by a Shuppet and Duskull.

Banette's name is a combination of bane and marionette.
Juppeta may come from 呪縛 jubaku, curse or spell, and puppet. It may also be a reference to Geppetto, a woodcarver who built a puppet that came to life in the story of Pinocchio.
