Trivia

  • No other Pokémon has the same type-combination as Dentula and its pre-evolution.
    • Similarly, no other Pokémon has a base stat total of 472.
  • Bachuru and Dentula are the only Pokémon capable of having the Tension ability that do not have it as their hidden ability.

Origin

Dentula is based on a tarantula, or a jumping spider.

Name origin

Its name is likely a combination of 電気 denki, electricity, or 電柱 denchū, lightpole, and タランチュラ taranchura, tarantula. May also tie in with chū, an alternate reading of 虫 mushi, meaning bug.
