Vaporeon (Japanese: シャワーズ Showers) is a Water-type Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Vaporeon is the result of an Eevee's exposure to the radiation of a Water Stone. Vaporeon is a composite creature sharing physical traits of dogs, cats, and fish. Vaporeon's body is light-blue and has a white collar. Vaporeon has yellow ears made of webbing and has a fin on its head resembling Vaporeon's ears. Vaporeon has blue ridges that run down the length of its spine and on to its tail-fin. Vaporeon's molecular structure is close to water, and its body glitters when sunlight hits at certain angles because of it.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Vaporeon can use any attack that Eevee can use, plus the ability to control water. Since Vaporeon is fully evolved, it can use Hyper Beam or Giga Impact.
As stated in the Dimaond and Pearl Pokédex entries, Vaporeon can turn into water.

Trivia
Vaporeon is one of the few Water-type non-legandary Pokemon that can learn Ice-type moves without a TM: Aurora Beam at Lv. 36 and Haze at Lv. 57.
Origin
Name origin
Vaporeon's name is derived from vapor. Its Japanese name probably refers to rain showers. The -eon suffix, common to all Eevee evolutions comes from Eevee's prototype English name. The French and German names are based of off the word aqua.
It has traits of foxes, dogs, cats, and fishes.
