It evolves into Hariyama starting at level 24.

Makuhita are medium-sized yellow Pokémon that are known for their bulkiness. They have a black chest area and have round hands that resemble black gloves. They also have red circles on their cheeks and slit-like eyes. It has a knot on its head possibly making it resemble a punching bag. Its feet each have two visible toes.
Gender differences

Special abilities
Makuhita and it's evolved form Hariyama are the only known Pokémon able to learn the move SmellingSalt though leveling up.
Behavior
Makuhita are constantly training to be the best fighters they can be. They are more then willing to throw their weight around as evidenced by broken trees and smashed rocks are often found where they live. They also constantly eat and sleep to pack more pounds on and to store more energy for evolution.

Makuhita are constantly eating and will eat most anything. Berries and fruits are common snacks but human food is not turned down when the chance comes.
In the anime
Makuhita first appeared in Brave the Wave as one of Brawly's Pokémon. During the Gym battle, Makuhita evolved into a Hariyama.
Sheridan had a Makuhita in Cheer Pressure.
A Makuhita also appeared in Pinch Healing! under Matt's care.
A Makuhita made a cameo in Queen of the Serpentine as a pet belonging to Lucy.
Kendall trained a Makuhita belonging to the Pokémon Summer Academy in Camping It Up!.

In the manga
Pokémon Adventures
Makuhita first appears in Pokémon Adventures under the ownership of Brawly, who like in the games and anime, is Brawly's siganture Pokémon. Brawly used it in his gym battle against Sapphire and it fought her Lairon, Rono, and managed to defeat it in battle. It then fought her newly evolved Combusken, Toro, and despite evolving into a Hariyama was unable to defeat the challenger.
Pokémon Ranger Batonnage - the Comic
In the manga adaptation of Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, Makuhita appears as Barlow's partner.
Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire
In Extra Heavyweight Battle, Clefairy challenges a Makuhita to a wrestling match.
