Mind Reader (Japanese: こころのめ Mind's Eye) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation II.
Effect
Generations II and III
The next move made by the user of this move against the target will not miss, even if the target uses a move with a semi-invulnerable turn like Fly. If the target switches out, the effect of Mind Reader wears off. This can be Baton Passed.
Mind Reader does not allow the user to bypass protection moves.
Mind Reader's accuracy is 100%.
Generations IV to VI
Mind Reader now bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the opponent is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.
Generation VII
If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Mind Reader, the user's Special Attack rises by one stage.
