Fishious Rend (Japanese: エラがみ Gill Bite) is a damage-dealing Water-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of the Fossilized Fish Pokémon.

Effect

Pokémon Sword and Shield

Fishious Rend deals damage. If the user attacks before the target, or if the target switches in during the turn that Fishious Rend is used, its base power doubles to 170. Strong Jaw further increases power by 50%.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Fishious Rend cannot be selected in a battle.

SwSh The user rends the target with its hard gills. If the user attacks before the target, the power of this move is doubled.
BDSP This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered.
