Scovillain (Japanese: スコヴィラン Sukoviran) is a dual-type Grass/Fire Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
It evolves from Capsakid when exposed to a Fire Stone.
Biology
Scovillain is a monstrous, bipedal Pokémon which resembles a pepper plant. It has a dark-green body and a leafy growth surrounding its neck which resembles a collar. Two leafy arms grow out of this growth. It has a short tail and its feet end in a clawed toe at each side. Its two pepper-like heads are attached to its body by stems. The red head on the right has an angry expression, while the light green head on the left appears more mischievous. Both heads have black eyes, stick their tongues out, and possess sharp fangs, the bottom pairs of which protrude below their lower jaws.
Scovillain is described as a ferocious Pokémon whose rampage is unstoppable. The spicy chemicals in its brain stimulate both heads, turning the green head vicious while providing a source for the red head to convert into spicy, fiery energy, which it blasts its surroundings with. Scovillain is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Spicy Extract.

Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Scovillain.
- Scovillain is also the only Fire-type Pokémon in the Grass Egg Group.
- Scovillain is the only Pokémon with Chlorophyll that is not weak to Fire-type attacks, which have increased power under harsh sunlight.
Origin
Scovillain seems to be based on a chili pepper plant. The red head seems to be based on a ripe, mature chili, while the green head seems to represent an immature chili that is not as pungent. The shape of the heads seem to be based on the habanero (as alluded to by its Japanese category) or the Carolina Reaper (recognized as the spiciest chili in the world).
Scovillain's appearance and behavior also suggest inspiration from kaiju or the hydra.
Its polarized expressions may be based off the sock and buskin theater masks, with the green and red heads representing Thalia (muse of comedy) and Melpomene (muse of tragedy) respectively.
Name origin
Scovillain and Sukoviran may be a combination of Scoville (as in the Scoville scale, the measurement scale for chili pepper pungency) and villain.
