Stunning Staravia & Stinky Skuntank II/VS Staravia and Skuntank II or Friends and Foes (Japanese: VS ムクバードとスカタンクII VS Mukubird and Skutank II or 敵と味方 Enemies and Allies) is the 359th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga.
Plot
Pearl is shocked to hear that Platinum is not their tour guide, but the daughter of the wealthiest family in Sinnoh. When Paka and Uji ask him and Diamond if they are on their side as they battle against Team Galactic, Diamond confirms, happy as long as they're all working to keep Platinum safe.
The four work together to ward off the Team Galactic Grunts, but are overwhelmed. Paka decides to use the same strategy that helped win the fight at the Lost Tower, and Uji orders his Buizel to spin its tail rapidly. Dust is kicked up from the ground, blocking the sight of the opposing Pokémon.
Diamond calls on his Grotle, Tru, to use Razor Leaf on the dust spiral to strengthen Buizel's attack. When Paka's Burmy is approached by a Skuntank from behind, Pearl warns him it's about to use a Night Slash attack. Paka and Uji are impressed with the two, and have them line up next to them.
Paka orders Pearl to have Chimler use an aerial attack, and tells Diamond to have Tru use Stealth Rock to send rocks into the air for the Monferno to jump on. When Chimler is surrounded by opposing Staravia, Paka commands Pearl to call out an Ember attack. Propelled by Buizel's tail, the fireball spins around the air, hitting all of the Staravia. A Hidden Power attack from Pearl's Chatot takes care of the Skuntank below.
Diamond and Pearl are both shocked to see how strong their Pokémon have become. Paka and Uji tell the two that they have always been strong, then point to the Pokémon as they begin to glow in a white light. Diamond and Pearl are surprised to see Tru and Chimler evolve into Torterra and Infernape, respectively. When they see some of their opponents rise to their feet, Paka and Uji lead the group away, worried that the Team Galactic Grunts will find Platinum's location.
Meanwhile, Platinum wakes up in the fitting room of the Veilstone Department Store. She sends out her Prinplup, and the two leave to explore the store.
Frustrated that he still hasn't been able to locate Platinum, Saturn grows desperate. He finds an old project of Team Galactic's and plots to use it against Platinum's bodyguards. Saturn demands his subordinates to send out another flying speaker, which he calls a "spyeye."
As Paka, Uji, Diamond, and Pearl continue running from the Team Galactic Grunts, they come to the conclusion that the grunts are all connected with a hive mind. They try to attack the grunts, but they dodge every move. When the four become cornered on the edge of a rooftop, Uji grabs Diamond and Pearl, then leaps into the forest. He ties the two of them against a tree with his scarf, then puts an earpiece on Diamond before running back to Paka.
Uji shouts at Diamond and Pearl to give commands to Tru and Chimler, but their view is blocked by a satellite dish. Unable to see his opponent, Pearl is frantic when he tells Chimler to use Ember. Diamond is also nervous as he orders Tru to use Earthquake, but sees that the attacks cause the satellite dish to come loose from its place on the rooftop. It falls onto the Team Galactic Grunts, trapping them.
Before the group can celebrate and get back to Platinum, Saturn begins to activate his device. All across Veilstone City, citizens look up in confusion as the earth begins to rumble. The device unleashes a powerful blast. Paka and Uji, along with their Pokémon, become shrouded in a hazy light. Saturn laughs, announcing that Paka and Uji will be imprisoned beyond this world until the end of time.
