Location
In Generation III, a young man standing by a tree west of Fortree City gives TM47.
Effect
Generation III
In Generation III, Secret Power allows the user to create their own secret base. When used on certain trees, a vine drops down. When used on indented walls, a cave opens. When used on certain bushes, an entrance opens.
In battles, its added effects have a 30% probability of happening.

- Sand, it lowers the target's Accuracy by one level.
- Rocky surfaces or caves, it causes Flinching.
- Water, it lowers the target's Attack.
- Snow fields or ice, it causes Freeze.
- Plain terrains or building floors, it causes Paralysis.
- Ashy terrain such as Route 113, it causes Poison.
