Okay, I'll change the limit to 100KB, but seriously, that's it.
Custom Sprites
Kuki said about creating sprites for the different patterned Butterfree and Vileplume. And since you said you are simply in charge here when Pie and Zhen isn't here, I guess that means you might know more. So the question is if we should make sprites for those. But since they are different patterns, much like arbok and spinda, there is no reason to make a new sprite just for a new pattern right? But Kuk's argument is that they are also different colored. So what's your view?--☆Tavisource 02:40, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not just in charge while they're gone. I am in charge...
- Anyway... I think it'd be best to take it forumward to see what the others think of it. TTEchidna 03:06, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Umm...it won't let me create a new thread. I clicked "New Thread" and it says I do not have permission. Is that what I was supposed to do, or did I do it wrong?--☆Tavisource 04:54, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Mind if I happen to steal?
Hey TTE, would you mind if I happen to "steal" some things that you have made? Specifically I'd like to "steal" (and of course modify) your archive page that counts bytes, and your Pokémon of the Day. Might I be allowed to do this, or would you prefer I not? Sorry to bug you about this, but I like to ask before I "steal" things ^_^; - Kogoro | Talk to me | 03:18, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- PotD is pretty much the only one that I don't want borrowed. As for the archives, go for it, just change the colors. TTEchidna 04:36, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I won't borrow the PotD. Thank you for permission on the archives ^_^ - Kogoro | Talk to me | 04:44, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Can I also borrow the KB counter? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 14:35, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Sub-Pages
How do you create sub-pages like the ones you and Kenji-Girl have? I really don't want to try and experiment with links and take the change of messing something up.
----HoennMaster 09:28, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Go to your userpage, in the URL bar add
/NAME
(Just replace NAME with the name you want for the sub-page) then edit the non-existent page. Just remember that editing user sub-pages does count to the 3 userspace edits per day limit. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 09:34, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean limit? What is userspace?
----HoennMaster 10:06, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
There is a limit of how many times you can edit your userpage and subpages (or even, in rare circumstances, others' pages) a day. The userspace includes your page, and any of your subpages. This includes the smallest edits, from adding a period to the end of a sentence, to the largest edits, from creating a whole new page. People like TTEchidna don't have a limit, because dey are awesome like that. Thankfully, the limit does not include any talk pages, even your own talk pages. However, don't go overboard and make it a blog. Gligar 14:19, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, it does not only include your main page and subpages, but any other page in the userspace, even if it doesn't belong to you (even though editing pages that aren't yours is not allowed.) MoldyOrange 14:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Generation IV in LOPBG
Due to my userspace limit already being over, I have taken the liberty of completing the Generation IV chart in "List of Pokémon by game". It is complete and currently resides in the bottom of the Sandbox. The page is now officially complete and ready for the mainspace once you add Generation IV. Thank you. Gligar 14:19, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- You are adding information to a userspace page that will make it to the mainspace when it is complete, that is allowed and does not count towards your total. MoldyOrange 14:28, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I wish I'd known that earlier. Anyway, it's finished now. Gligar 15:13, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Not quite. You've got a few listed... off. For example, in Pt, Gligar's no longer a dongler, while Magmar and Electabuzz are in the wild. TTEchidna 16:14, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- You're right. I kind of assumed for some of Platinum's, since some of the Pokémon articles only say "Trade" because they haven't been updated. I'll take a look at Serebii. Gligar 18:48, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Serebii claims to have a complete location list, but I don't see one. The only way I see is manually checking all their pages. I've made a few dongle/version-exclusive edits. Gligar 19:27, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- From what I've seen he does, on the individual pages. TTEchidna 22:02, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- The only way I see is manually checking all their pages. Or were you implying something else? Gligar 22:29, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that's what I meant, he doesn't have a list of all 493 with their Pt locations, but has the Pt locations in their pages. If it's what you meant originally then yes I agree. TTEchidna 22:55, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Could you somehow fix this image of Eusine's sprite? it isn't working. Image Removed
MoldyOrange 16:27, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have no idea what's wrong with it... It's just not there. Give it a while, if you just noticed it gone, it might just be a glitch that'll correct itself. Either way, ew jpg sprite. Can we fix that? TTEchidna 16:43, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know, But I think the problem is the accented I; Images don't work when there are weird characters, which include ♀ and ♂. I doubt it has worked for the past five months since Mesenquima uploaded it. MoldyOrange 16:57, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Move Variations
Well, I was looking at the tables and I thought that we should have seperate rows for Physical and Special moves. Now, I'm not too good with tables so I had a play around and it came to this:
Variations on the move Blizzard | |
---|---|
Blizzard | Focus Blast | |
Gunk Shot |
What do you think? I mean, we could add other columns to it if needs be. At the moment, it just looks a little clumped, especially with moves with many variations (Hyper Beam, Quick Attack, Swift etc.). Just an idea... TESHIGIGAS 22:17, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- Looks pretty nice, actually. Just change it so that it's colspan=2'd. TTEchidna 22:19, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
TTEchidna/epnum
TTE, shouldn't this template of yours use {{g|anime}} instead of [[Pokémon Anime]] on it? Isn't using the shortlinks policy? (I asked this on the template's talk page, but I'm not sure if that page will make the "new messages" bar appear. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 23:50, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- Policy unless there's a reason otherwise. There's not much difference between the g template and typing it out. The LTs are mostly for stuff like moves. TTEchidna 01:04, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Using Unicode minus
What do you think of using the Unicode minus character instead of hyphens where appropriate—for instance, in TCG resistances? Since Bulbapedia implements UTF-8, it would be a shame to not make use of it. It can be copy-pasted directly (−), or an editor can type − in the source. It seems to me that this would be similar to the acute é or em dashes. And visually, it does make a difference: compare (2 + 3 - 5) to (2 + 3 − 5). IIMarckus 04:06, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hrm... well, the regular dash (-) works in mathematical calculations, while I'm unsure if that minus does. So... I dunno. It seems like going a little overboard...
weakness | resistance | retreat cost |
---|---|---|
-30 |
weakness | resistance | retreat cost |

- Besides... it looks like an endash (–) when smaller... The TCG cards used the exact font, so I think we oughta keep the -. TTEchidna 05:00, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I can buy that. IIMarckus 05:03, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

History Heading
On main pages for main characters pokémon there was a heading like the above saying history: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=May%27s_Wartortle&diff=prev&oldid=512319
However Jmath is removing these: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=May%27s_Wartortle&diff=next&oldid=512319
Is this okay, or should we put them back?
----HoennMaster 02:13, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sometimes they need them, sometimes they don't. Jmath and anyone else should make sure to know this and to determine it based on the rest of the page. TTEchidna 02:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Tuber
I was wondering for a while with an issue over the male tuber. Here's what I wrote: Is there a male tuber for FR/LG? If not, we can add to trivia that though it doesn't appear for FR/LG, it does appear in Sis and Bro...
Anyway, do you know? If not, we can also edit the sprite of Sis and Bro and FR/LG to say that this is the male Tuber. ht14 03:06, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I dunno, actually, if there's a male tuber programmed into FRLG. Ask on the forums. TTEchidna 03:10, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, but does it exist? That's what I'm wondering....also, why in Mystery Dungeon do Staryu/mie blink? I don't get that... ht14 03:15, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I got my answer. Thanks. Also, edit war at talk page...ht14 22:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Original Series and Advanced Generation Episode Lists
So I just saw the AG episode list expanded to split the two Deoxys episodes, but I believe you mentioned something about changing the Original Series episode list after Episode 38? What changes? I only say the two Christmas episodes added, but are there any number changes?
----HoennMaster 03:39, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- No, we're not changing the numbers. I decided, HHJ and SWO stay as specials, but are placed in canon order on the list. TTEchidna 03:42, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok, one last question. I was putting the favorite episode tags onto my profile, and the picture for DP038 won't work. I copied and pasted the title, and it won't work. It is the only pci I'm having problems with.
----HoennMaster 04:14, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Someone uploaded it with exclamation points, which screw up for some. TTEchidna 04:19, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
It's doing that for DP076 as well.
----HoennMaster 04:27, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Exclamation points. Again. Sigh. Can you help a guy out by making a list of files with !'s and ?'s in them? TTEchidna 04:29, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I think I found them all:
AG049 on the Advanced Genration list, although the AG049 page doesn't even use that pic. Suggestion
You know how most wikis (including ours) often have a "This Week's Featured Article" thing? How about we do a "This Month's Featured Stub" to encorage the expansion of undederveloped arcticles? --Manga-in-a-bottle 05:44, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Good plan, but I dunno how we'd pick it... TTEchidna 05:46, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just make it random, I guess --Manga-in-a-bottle 05:49, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- Only thing is, a featured stub probably wouldn't be a stub for the whole month. It sounds like a really fun way to all work on stubs though, and with enough attention, it could go pretty fast... random sounds pretty good, I wonder if there's a way to system-generate a random list of only stub articles? Sort of like Special:Random. As stubs get filled out, they lose stub status, become full articles, and the next random stub jumps to the front page. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 08:36, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

- Who wants to randomly decide one, or should I? TTEchidna 20:20, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- If you pick, we should consolidate first. I have made some stubs that I am working on getting information for, and I would like only people who know what they are doing touching the article. I don't want to have to constantly fix something that would have not been a problem if it wasn't the "featured" one. MoldyOrange 21:28, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
- May I suggest Pokémon Live!? It's a shame this is still a stub... If you want something more mainstream to begin with, one of the location stubs would probably be a good choice. --electAbuzzzz 14:14, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Sprites and stuff..
With things like Event Pokémon lists, and other list prior to Generation IV.. Which sprite is more preferable?
- The latest
- The sprite of that generation
I'm thinking the latter, due to it representing that generation. Just wanting a second opinion on this one, since it isn't mentioned in the manual of style... Gywall(Talk) 15:07, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for making your page closer to archiving...
But I was wondering if this table would work for the PMD locations:
Floor | Pokémon | |||
---|---|---|---|---|
B1F | Shellder |
Kabuto |
Shellos |
Corsola |
B2F | ||||
B3F | ||||
B4F | ||||
Pit | Zubat |
Koffing |
I mean, when people check out PMD locations...they want to know which Pokemon are on each floor, right? Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 05:11, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know...That format could cause gaps when it comes to floors that both introduce new Pokémon and carry over ones from a previous floor. Take Thunderwave Cave for example. In that format, there'd be a gap on floors 1 and 2 above Voltorb (who appears only on floors 3 through 5), while Rattata/Nidoran♀/Poochyena sits comfortably in the first three floors over Elekid/Plusle/Minun on the final two. The gaps and staggering would only get worse the deeper one gets into the game. --Shiningpikablu252 15:48, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Could you change my user name?
I'd like you to change my user name to "Chocolate", and here's why:
My current user name is misleading. I mean, the word "baby". A baby is a very young person, and it can also be used to describe a hot girl. I'm neither. And the "G", well, it's supposed to stand for "gangsta", so my name means either "young gangsta" or "female gangsta", which I'm not any of those.
A name like "Chocolate" is much better IMO. No, I'm not made outta chocolate, but I just like that name WAY better.
So, could you please change it? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:20, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay... if you insist. No undoing it. TTEchidna 22:28, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- Kinda random, but, if you're an admin, can you change your own name?--RexRacer -talk 01:01, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Not if you're an admin. You have to be a bureaucrat, since bureaucrats are admins who can also change user names and give and take away user rights. --Chocolate (talk to me) 01:05, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Redirects
I thought I should ask before trying anything. Do you think that we should have redirects to the manga and anime? Like instead of someone needing to type in 'DP001', they could type in 'Following a Maidens Voyage!' and get to the same page. The same applies w/ the manga. I think it would help users that dont know the exact episode number, but I dunno. What do you think?--RexRacer -talk 01:16, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ideally, redirects should be made as soon as we get the dub title... TTEchidna 01:21, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Quick Questions
Sorry to bother you again, but I have two questions. First, is there an easy way to find out what pages we have created? Also, how do you add the show/hide tags to my user tags list?
----HoennMaster 06:03, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Easy way? Eh, not really. Find the bold, capital N's on your contribs page. That's it.
- And just look at my page's coding to find that one out. Just don't screw with it. TTEchidna 06:11, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok, so I got them on my user tag bar...but now my content list is in the user tag box as well. If you don't know how to fix that, do you know someone who does? Sorry for these questions, this si the first time I've delath with these kinds of things.
----HoennMaster 06:40, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Problem is, how do I know what to take out to do that? Sorry, I'm very....well dumb when it comes to this.

Pic on EP099
I came across this user named Jmath who is constantly changing my contributions to EP099 based on what he thinks is true, and he thinks that the pic of a deleted scene from that particular episode i uploaded on that page is "unnecessary" and an "extra pic" by his standards. Bulbapedia is a website created by group effort, right? Why can't I put my correct contributions without anyone else like him interfering? --Hmdwgf 15:34, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Get a better quality pic for the page and then keep it. Jmath 19:39, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- Either way, edit warring isn't a good thing to do. I will agree that the picture needs some better quality (hey, we do have a Japanese wiki, why not ask if anyone there has the DVD that includes that episode? Tavi can do it...) but constantly reverting it, both of you, is a damned bad idea. Jmath, you should know this, since you were previously blocked for it. TTEchidna 19:55, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
Route Pictures
How do I scan pictures of the different routes from guidebooks and upload them to Bulbapedia, but have them look perfect like the ones already here on the site?
--KantoLegend 21:06, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
- What, you mean like Route 34? Screw scanning, that's ripped right from the game. TTEchidna 21:22, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
I think he means like the Sinnoh Routes...those are from the guidebooks.

Sockpuppet Suspicion
I suspect that the user Miley Cyrus is a sockpuppet created by Mileycyrus to get around userspace restrictions (the user rights long shows Mileycyrus as having been put under "abuse"). An e-mail address check showed the two as using Hotmail accounts both being led with what I suspect as Chinese usernames. Is it possible to get a further check on these two accounts to see whether my suspicion is right? Thanks. --Shiningpikablu252 16:03, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
- Bleh. Wonderful. Yeh, the first Miley earned the "Abuse" tag after making 28 edits in one day, and ignoring four warnings. RexRacer pointed out that even though Miley never responded to the warnings, he/she did "learn" from the one time Rex mentioned a better way to add userboxes, so I think he/she was just willfully ignoring the warnings.
- If this one turns out to be a sockpuppet (which seems like a pretty obvious "yes"), should any additional punishment be given to the original account? -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:26, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

It's horrible, and maybe not correct at the moment, but unless you want to make new variables for the generation 1 'mon, this is probably the best solution. Well, you can also ask them to redirect their URLs, but that's something I can't do anything about. --Raijinili 17:57, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

- Oh, also... um. Links/4 isn't the only one... you just redid Template:Links/1... TTEchidna 04:29, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
- I understand that you'd probably missed the edit, but I had to do SOMETHING to get your attention (well, technically you can check the edit history, but...)
- I know I redid Links/1. And I only just realized that there's yet another 'mon with a special character. Two, in fact. Mr. Mime and its preevo. However, I've discovered that Marriland works with number, so I'm going to give you more code. If it matters, the switch statements don't need to go into generations which don't have the specific 'mon which are being switched on. --Raijinili 05:06, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
The links templates are below. I standardized a few that I could to use number only, reducing the computation time slightly. --Raijinili 06:22, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

...funny...but seriously, in a way that would take forever to explain, this would decrease some of the user space edits. But mainly, the new people won't know how to work together if they don't first know how to work properly. They must first make Bulbafriends that could help them out...it's to organize things. And plus, this team thing wasn't my idea, yes, I created it, but not my idea. The original ideas was to create hundreds of user space pages...you don't want that, right? And at least this idea is better than other people who make their friend lists in the user space. And it doesn't matter anyways, there's no rule saying I cannot. - Yeah. Maybe now we can finally focus on the page that started the entire scuffle. It was primarily over which userspace the page belonged in (the page itself is a poll about whether or not Rotom is a legendary; Rotom (Pokémon) and Legendary Pokémon were protected when the scuffle began to get heated), although a small part of it was over whether or not a comment I'd posted with my vote should stay or not. --Shiningpikablu252 22:48, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

- Please...Tavisource, stay out of this, and it might not be that, you're not that important. Respect one's privacy~Ποκεμανιακα0β 03:22, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

We've got another one...
And by that, I mean an account doing advert articles! Larion created [2] this advert-ish article. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 08:39, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Protection
PLEASE Unprotect Saturn's Toxicroak. Jmah did not consider Tc26's pic during the edit war. The pic was supposed to act as a compromise btween Dark Pulse and Strange pose (pic niknames. I got permision from Maverick t change it, but Jmath keeps changing it back to the Dark Pulse pic bc of his stubbornness. Please put my pic back!
- Guh. Talk page it there. I'm the authority of it all, but I don't wanna make EVERY decision... TTEchidna 20:39, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Contest Master Usertags
I'm having a bit of a problem clearing a problem surrounding a certain seven usertags. The usertags {{User Beauty Master}}, {{User Contest Master}}, {{User Super Contest Master}}, {{User Cool Master}}, {{User Cute Master}}, {{User Smart Master}}, and {{User Tough Master}} all have categories wrapped in <includeonly> tags; however, for some odd reason, they're still considered to be part of the usergroup categories included within the <includeonly> coding (which the coding should be keeping them out of), no matter how much I try to get them off! You're the master template hacker, do you think you can fix it, or should I go to Zhen Lin on this issue? --Shiningpikablu252 16:06, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- I found the problem. It may be in the include only, but for the change demonstration (I'll use this as an example: Template:User Contest Master). The change example (the demonstration on how they want it changed from May to Dawn) uses the template itself, when it should just be the coding for what the change should be. when the template is used, it puts the include only category because the template is included in the page instead of what it should be, the coding. Hopefully, if it is changed, the problem would be solved. Do you understand my thinking? MaverickNate 16:11, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- A solution's been found. Sorry to have pestered you like this. --Shiningpikablu252 16:25, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Poke
By the way, have you tried adding a CAPTCHA to edits which have external links? --Raijinili 21:25, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ummmm... Archaic would be the one to talk to. TTEchidna 23:17, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, what about the links templates? They're done. --Raijinili 01:44, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Eh? Wha who when? As in updating them? I swear Mags said he'd do it. TTEchidna 02:26, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

- You totally did... TTEchidna 02:47, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- i said, via an external conversation, if you asked me to, i would. but you didnt ask me to. -- MAGNEDETH 02:49, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Anyway, I linked to my modifications in this section's title, so all that needs to be done is pasting, making sure not to lose the category lines. --Raijinili 03:05, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Alt sprites
I was thinking: Because Crystal has a page, that we create sprites for her Pokémon, SINCE THEY HAVE A PLACE. What do u think? Should Tavis create them?--KukiTalk 02:28, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- To add to that, should we also make sprites for Pokémon with their anime colours? Chocolate 02:30, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
R u gonna answer us?--KukiTalk 02:48, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- You do know I have a life outside of Bulbapedia. Anyway, depends on what you mean by "create". How different are they from regulars? As for anime coloration... don't even fricking go there. TTEchidna 06:18, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Read the descriptions we had\ve on the need to be created section--KukiTalk 13:02, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ahem...Kuki, I told you I am NOT going to make Crystal's Pokémon's sprites AND the alt color Pokémon...we have came to this conclusion at the forums and many of them were admins of Bulbapedia, so I recon you stop worrying about this and leave TTE out of this.--☆Tavisource 06:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
